    Thanks for this video - a calm, collected, informative and insightful review. I share your adoration for this car.
    I ordered an AWD GTLineS with heat pump November 2021 (Newcastle, England, UK) which had an anticipated delivery date of March 2022. At the beginning of the year the garage advised that would be June 2022 and just last month that has become December 2022!
    But in the absence of anything which competes with it all round; on practicality, drive-ability, technology, comfort and styling - even those vehicles with a 5K - 15K premium when similarly spec’d, I’m simply going to wait.

      Sorry to hear about your delays, it will certainly be worth the wait though!

    For me it's the best all-round EV

    This review is spot on. 👍
    Ordered mine last October and got it in January as planned.
    Demand is through the roof but it really is with the wait.

      I ordered mine in December but they are saying I could be waiting until 2023 now :(

      @@novax7514 wow. Sorry to hear that. I made contact with 5 dealerships and the news I was getting was that I might have to wait until July. The most optimistic date was March but in the end I went with a dealer who said he’d do whatever he could. I said that I wasn’t worried about colour but wanted the GT line spec.
      I was as shocked as anyone when it arrived in January.
      I hope that yours, like mine arrives sooner than expected.
      I think they are trying to manage customers expectations give the supply chain issues and the demand for this EV which has won worldwide acclaim.

      @@myopenmind527 I'm in Canada and we're very far down on the food chain in terms of supply. My dealer will only say "by February 2023" and no one really knows when I'll get it.

      @@novax7514 hang in there. Its worth the wait. Unless you look for an ionic 5?
      There will be new and probably better EVs from other manufacturers so best keep you eye for those.
      Best of luck 🤞

    In Canada, even if you pick the top of the line GT-Line pack 2 trim, KIA has removed many high end features you have on your press car EV6. Features such as projector headlights, ski pass through, sweeping blinkers up front and yellow blinker hidden in silver trim in the back. Also, we get 5y warranty instead of your 7.

    • @DriveGreen
      @DriveGreen  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You’ll quite often find with most cars the spec changes depending on country, I am more shocked on the warranty though, I wonder what the reasoning is for that?

  • @tomhickey1207
    @tomhickey1207 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi Richard, I see the day you tested the ev6 it was raining quiet heavy. Did it effect the vision out of rear window, as there is no wiper on rear screen. Thank you Tom.

    • @DriveGreen
      @DriveGreen  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes we never get much luck with the weather while filming!
      When you are in motion the water flows relatively well, but as you come to a stop etc it isn’t the most ideal. So many cars are opting not to have rear wipers these days, personally we would prefer to have one but it is not a deal breaker.

  • @AndrewLumsden
    @AndrewLumsden 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I test drove one a few weeks ago and loved it but had to reject it because the rear seats do not fold totally flat and the rear window is at such an angle you loose so much space. The dark headliner also makes it very dark and oppressive internally.

    • @DriveGreen
      @DriveGreen  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Shame to hear it didn’t quite work for you, has something else ticked the boxes for you?

    • @AndrewLumsden
      @AndrewLumsden 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DriveGreen Not yet! I currently have a V70 and there is nothing out there that equates to it and its load capacity. The XC90 and the successor are way to big.

    • @amperformance7998
      @amperformance7998 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Have you looked at a Hyundai Ioniq5? It is built on the same platform as the EV6, so shares many of its positive qualities, but with more space (not quite V70) and a softer suspension.
      Otherwise, a Skoda Superb iV Estate offers massive space in a somewhat electric package.

    • @fraserreddick8828

    • @amperformance7998

      Does Kia prep you for maintaining that paint? In Australia, the matte paint option comes with Kia's ceramic paint protection which makes it a very expensive option. But also makes it easier to care for.

    1.9kw on this GT line. The 500 plus HP line coming out will allow you to do 3.6kw 120v

    • @amperformance7998
      @amperformance7998 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That isn't quite correct. I assume you are talking about the V2L which maxxes out at 15 amps. All UK and Australian EV6s have 3.6kw capability. This is because we run 240v. All North American spec cars get only 1.9kw because of the 120v output. The actual trim level doesn't matter.

    It's worth mentioning that the 7 year warranty is transferable upon sale. This will really help the resale value.
    FWIW I ordered a GT Line S in the last week of March and got a 10 month estimate for delivery.

    • @DriveGreen
      @DriveGreen  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is correct, the warranty stays with the car 🙂

    how easy is it to clean cause I tend to drop a coin or 2 between the seat and the center console/arm rest.

    • @DriveGreen
      @DriveGreen  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is a very good question and not one we ever really considered asking/answering before! In all honesty we only had this car for a week and never had to clean the inside in that time so couldn’t really give an honest, accurate answer.
      When we start getting them on the forecourt though, we’ll be sure to check and let you know!

    Lovely car but just too big for where I live in south Devon. I bought an eNiro instead, but I do think this is certainly one of the top 3 EVs. Doesn’t compare to the i-pace, which is a poor EV that hasn’t moved forward since it was released.

    • @DriveGreen

    Got my Australian market GT-line RWD on order. Originally quoted 18+ months for delivery, but they've since revised it to 12 months.
    Unfortunately, the best colours (green and dark blue) aren't offered in Australia so I had to settle for Yacht Blue. Kinda wish manufacturers of practically all cars offered a greater variety of colours.

    • @tubejorrit
      @tubejorrit 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I ordered a GT and the only dissapointment are the lack of colors. Matt silver/grey is just not practical and I like bright colors so I also had to settle for yacht blue. Rather had a bright green/yellow color

    Wouldn't the Model Y be a better comparison than a M3?

      Quite possibly but we haven’t had a chance to experience a Model Y so it wouldn’t be fully fair to comment.

    Kia Should adopt Simplicity Like Most American Cars For Body Look kia Must Not copy Toyota Camrey .
