The lineup changed to its current iteration right after that last Celtics game. The team is more cohesive and has a defined identity now

Great episode guys! Everyone is forgetting to mention that Derrick Jones Jr. didn’t play much in that second match up in March either he was coming off the bench along Gafford. Josh Green and Dereck Lively were starting that game.
The Celtics are very good, we will have our hands full. Should be a great series.
Celtics will need to shoot well from deep all series as Lukai will have more space than the last two series and Gafford and Lively will be finishing a lot of lobs
No one thought the 2011 mavs could beat that Miami heat and they did it in 6

Boston hasn’t played a single ounce of west playoff physicality their entire playoff run and that is something nobody is talking about. It’s the exact reason why the Warriors beat them in the Finals a few years ago. They can’t handle the physicality and they have literally lucked into every team they faced its best player or top 2 best players got hurt and missed most of the series. The Mavs will be by far the biggest team the Celtics have faced and people need to stop bringing up the Celtics regular season stats and there playoff stats they haven’t faced a single top 10 defense the entire playoffs when you factor in all the injuries to there opponents key players. Like I’ve said all playoffs with this Mavs team expect the unexpected.

Against OKC, PJ guarded Chet when on the floor, not the bigs. I would expect to see something similarly against Boston. Not sure why they wasn’t brought up but I wouldn’t expect for the Mavs to just play into Boston’s hands by moving their bigs to the perimeter. I can see PJ guarding KP.

Ima gone on say it. This whole Boston playoff series skewed. I understand it’s the NBA and you can only face who’s in front of you , but Boston ain’t faced a team that can hold a candle to this mavs team , so of course their defensive numbers and percentages are gonna look magnificent , don’t take this as me saying Boston is trash or anything like that , but we’re a whole different monster. Mavs in 6 man.
