To start with I thought why watch Brian’s vlog when he is on Dan’s one? But I changed my mind pretty quick. I love your take on life Bryan. A daily dose of humour, small adventures and a keen appreciation of the important things in life (like coffee and clearing drainage channels). I think Ireland has lost a national treasure and La France has gained one.
I love Brian's videos but cannot get my husband to watch ... the chateau videos are enough for him 🤷♀️So I get to have coffee and sight see and tour France with Brian 😊
I find it interesting how you don't ask too much out of life and yet get so much in return. I think you've discovered a wonderful secret Brian! Thank you for sharing your lovely life with us. I do appreciate the simplicity. Good food, good friends, little visits, helping others and a good cup of coffee.
Always happy to see your vlogs Brian. Today's reminded me of a story of a friend's mother who had 20+ gnomes stolen from her garden in England. She had to go to the police station to identify them!! Unbelievable but true!! We laughed a lot at the time!! 😂
No one quite like you Brian, your easy going manner, humorous outlook, and delightful approach to everyday life makes your videos addictive. Thanks for letting me hang out with you. You’re fun to be around.
That spring structure is a fabulous find and yes you’re right about the aeration/circulation. A little gazebo with fairy lights or a fire pit next to the lake would be lovely.
Well done Brian. Nice music. Production value is really good. Also love the delivery message “if you’re not there we’ll burn your stuff and throw it in the bin”
Hello Brian. Vlog watcher since #01. First time commenting....I find myself looking forward to your short mostly daily (no pressure!) snapshots of Brian's Life. I enjoy the landscape scenery, towns, your handi-work at home, coffee's while out & about. Oh, and your commentary & accompanying music choices. I enjoy it all. Thank you for bringing your simplicity, humour and joy of everyday life to the YT audience. Cheers from 🇨🇦 ☕
Who wants to go a pretty French town for coffee with you = me me me. Perfection as always thanks @Brianslifeinfrance....hahaha those gnomes 😂 hugs Helen, East Gippsland Australia
The pond will be a lovely space. You could line the drain with flat stones which would be quite attractive. Look around for a pond rake, that will help with the overall health of the water. Biological matter (leaves, plants, twigs etc) breaking down is what causes algal bloom especially in late summer. Cutting back the plants at the edge will help with that as well.
Thanks for sharing your adventure, Brian. That little bistro looks wonderful. Retirement in a peaceful little French town complete with silent gnomes as well. They don't make much noise...😂
Brian, I heard from the wee folk outside the coffee shop. They quite liked the vision of the spring and pond. Told me they would not be against 1 or 2 moving there 😊
A plethora of garden gnomes! Maybe you will end up with a fish pond of sorts. It looks like someone put some effort into land planning and drainage at some point. Maybe you will discover more?
Often, ponds of that size tend to have been hand-dug and, over time, become increasingly shallow by the buildup of dead plant matter, turning to muck at the bottom. I gentle dredging could be in order, with attention to preserving animal life within. By doing this, you can begin to reverse the gradual filling in process and mitigate overgrowth of plants within and around the pond. There was such a pond near me when I was growing up. Now, 50+ years later, it is basically as flat as the field around it, only a slight depression marks where the hand-dug pond used to be.
👍👍👍 one more beautyfull vlog !!! i think u will crack the 40 K before christmas, maybe 50 K till the end of the year, that would be incredibly good and u deserve it !!!
@@Brianslifeinfrance As soon as we met in person, I noticed that you are an incredibly friendly person and extremely likeable and pleasant ! That's why everyone likes the way you make your vlogs and the reason why you have so many followers!
Daniel Preston you got to love him…❤❤ Yep I have those days you forgot about something and it throws a spanner ,more like a massive wrench into your day 😂. Least the plants have arrived safe and sound … For the next few weeks someone’s playing in the yard 🙂🙃 Yes sir ,she’s a pretty lady indeed ❤❤❤❤❤standing tall and proud 🥹 What a beautiful interesting little town … shame about the Gnomes 🤢
Very fortunate Brian to have a natural water spring on you property. And I think it should be possible to populate the pond it feeds with fish? And just think of the fun days to come relaxing with a cold drink wile the fish work out how get at the bait without becoming your evening meal.
Love this part of u tube watching. Quite simply a wonderful part of any day there is a Brian post. ‘Look at life again soon’ (olderBrits may remember that from cinema visits.). 😂
Ha ha, I watched Dan’s video least night were he said you and nick would be unloading the plants, then moved over to yours and you said you were going cycling? today. No you’re not sunshine, no you’re not lol😅 lovely vlog as always
Brian, Great job on clearing the area so the spring can do its job. The little lake will be very happy I'm sure. Nice little town. The dwarves have an appeal to some, though not me. Cheers
Thank you for taking us along while you putter around it was our pleasure Brian. That was a pretty little town and I love the sax music to listen. You are so cheery like a breath of fresh air. Lol I thought you were retired😂😂😂❤️
Enjoyed your “quiet” day (even unloading a couple of plants for Dan.) A chunky stump to perch on near your spring would be spectacular. Just love visiting some of the nearby lovely French villages with you.
Hey Brian,🍀Just stock your pond with some fish and they will multiply and then you can fish. You may have to throw it back in, but sooner or later they will be big enough to eat for dinner. I think it would be quite lovely for you to build a deck with a table and chairs even if its just to enjoy your morning coffees!☕☕☕☕☕or your afternoon beers🍻🍺🍻Such a quaint and lovely little town! I can't believe there aren't any people on the streets! So quiet.
It's wonderful to see you helping your ancient neighbor, clearing out the pond, enjoying the quiet village, and driving through the countryside of La France Profonde. Very Dibley, so deep and quiet and old and sweet. Love seeing the interior of the velo shop and the boulangerie.
I love small towns like that. Reminds me of Quebec City and Old Montreal. 🇨🇦⚜ The cobble streets and stone homes, the old wood doors, the slopes and winding streets, the little shops. Heaven. So relaxing to watch your videos with jazz music added. 💯 I had to rewind because I missed the Nick reference. LOL The first set of gnomes. 😄
You are so lucky to have a natural spring. Very, very blessed indeed. 🙂 Dan 🤭 Yes life is an adventure and coffee a very very important part of it.✌️🙂What a gorgeous coffee shop. Cozy out.💜💜

My 90 year old mum has fallen under your spell. Your enjoyment of simple things and easy going philosophy are so delightful and attractive
One thing you notice is how clean these small towns and villages are.
What about the prizes for a glass of Rose? € 1,00
These small towns are so quaint, I love them. And I too have noticed how clean they are.
And empty if people generally. Unless vloggers choose not to film when people are around
I think you need to start hiding gnomes in the chateau garden. See how long it takes nick and Dan to find them
MAKE IT HAPPEN! Though maybe nobody should listen to me. We had one of those gnomes in my garden when I was a child (50 years ago).
Love that idea 😂😂😂😂😂
Ha! Love this idea!
