I’ve had this city on my bucket list since the wee stages of my One Direction infection, circa 2012. Obviously, this had to be the first stop of my first ever solo trip, and what a way to start! Enjoy the best moments and memories, captured on a silly little camcorder.

If it's not already been said, it's the Albert Memorial (Prince Albert, Queen Victoria's husband), opposite the Royal Albert Hall. Good video.

Re: Richmond & toilets. Just go into any pub and use theirs. The local Council gave pub owners a small reduction in their taxes in return for letting people use their toilets. To be polite, just have a quick drink. You look as if you are 18+ so you are fully legal in pubs. The Prince's Head (Ted Lasso) is nice and the food is also good.

I lived in Richmond for a while and over a decade ago there were public loos…since closed. Not helpful! I always look for an M&S..they tend to have public toilets to use. 😊

I used a credit card! My card has no international transaction fees, so I found that to be my best option.
