I've really thought Hyundai's design team has done a great job on the Santa Fe since 2013. All their models have been so well thought out, inside and out. This new one is on my short list to replace my 2013, but the wheels are a big negative. Maybe it's me, but so many newer vehicles have gone to designs with rectangles, squares, and two dimensional flat designs. And I really don't want to spend another 1-1.5k on new wheels on top of 43k to get a look I like. Other than that pet peeve, I find the vehicle to look great.
Louder than what? A CX-5 is a tin can compared to this. If you want quiet in a Santa Fe, cough up some coin, and get the Calligraphy model. Very quiet (see the review on the Calligraphy by "Raiti's Rides").

Just picked up a Calligraphy spec and it has some wicked looking 20" wheels, not these 19" ones. Calligraphy is the only spec to have the good wheels

Considering both this and the new Sorento with the same powertrain... concerned about the longevity of that DCT transmission though that’s for sure...
