These old school crunchy breakdowns are some of the heaviest there is. I love how they can take one breakdown, and literally play the exact same frets on another song and just change the variation of it and strumming pattern and it's a totally new sound. BYD is one of the heaviest bands ever and they're in my top 3 for best breakdown bands ever along with August Burns Red.

I was in a band when this album was new and I tried incorporating some kick drum patterns in this style, but the guitarist would shoot me down . He would always tell me it's just too "bouncy". Those "bouncy" beats just flowed so damn good and really gave it drive.oh well... That's a guitarist for ya lol
