Banyak orang tidak mencintai dirinya sendiri sehingga tidak bisa mencintai Tuhan dan segala ciptaan-Nya secara benar. Manusia pertama telah gagal mengasihi diri sendiri, yang ditipu oleh Iblis untuk mengonsumsi buah pohon larangan Allah dan akhirnya diusir dari taman Eden. Kalau kita mengasihi diri sendiri secara benar, kita harus menjaga agar jiwa kita tidak diisi dengan hal-hal yang tidak dikehendaki Allah agar kita layak masuk kerajaan Bapa di kekekalan. Pengaruh dunia dengan segala keindahannya dapat membunuh jiwa kekal kita, kita harus berani memilih untuk tidak terpengaruh. Mari kita isi jiwa kita dengan firman Tuhan, agar kita melakukan yang sesuai dengan kehendak Tuhan. Sebab makanan yang benar bagi jiwa kita, adalah firman Allah.
