Death can happen so suddenly to the ones we love. Here's a tid-bit of my journey so far in dealing with my Mom's death and our not so typical relationship.
3 years ago I began a transformation process of addressing my childhood trauma and childhood abuse. In that time I'm thankful to say that I grew in forgiveness and empathy towards my Mom. My mourning began all those years ago as I realized the relationship would never be the one she and I both hoped for. I'm at peace with that, and now I know she rests in peace too.
