Got a 000jr. It's possibly my favorite ever guitar. Gonna snag one of these too. I have big nice guitars as well but I love the tone and play of the 000jr.

If you can find one, Yamaha FS3 instead of this or the 114e. This is cool but you will get used to playing a smaller than normal guitar/for the money could get all solid woods from Yamaha. The Taylor is fine but the Yamaha will blow its sound out of the water.
They have a brand new mahogany version! Please review it. I picked it up today for a minute. Didn’t love the stock strings but maybe that’s just me. Would love to see it compared to the GS mini Mahogany.
Oooo that second riff that Chris did was tasty. Sounds great but so hard to tell if it has that boxy tone or not. Basically I’m a cheapskate and I’m trying to get that premium 000 sound without paying for it lol.

The E is for electric. Meaning it has a pickup and is able to be plugged in. I'm not sure why the sticker inside wouldn't include the E, as I'm pretty sure this guitar only comes in the model with the pickup.

I’m currently comparing these myself, waiting for the Mendes to arrive so I can A/B wise. Specs wise, the only difference in the models is that the 000JR-10 doesn’t have a pickup, doesn’t have the old toner stain on the spruce top, and it has a richlite fingerboard, bridge and headstock plate. Whereas the Mendes has an ebony fingerboard and bridge and wooden head plate. So technically they should sound pretty similar. All wood matters to me, but it might not to you re the richlite. Both are all solid sapele and spruce, the Mendes has a sipo wood neck and the 000JR-10 lists “hardwood”. That’s it really!

I couldn’t feel a difference or really hear one, but I also didn’t have a side by side comparison that I want. I live in Germany and Martin dealers are hard to come by hear so I think I just need to make a decision. I’ll be happy either way imagine.
I have the Guild and I’m looking at upgrading to this. Based on the wood and nitro finish, I think the Martin will kick the Guild out of the race. But depends if you like hog or spruce really as well.
I could feel the entire Taylor Swift fanbase gasp in horror as I purchased my Shawn Mendes 000-JR today 😂 I am actually not a huge fan of his, although I do like his music, but I have been a loyal dedicated Taylor Swift worshipper since I first heard Love Story on the radio at 10 years old, and her music is eerily all so relatable to me personally and has gotten me through the happiest and darkest days of my life. However, being the daughter of a Martin guitar player, I ended up choosing this one over the Baby Taylor 🙈 The only complaint on Shawn’s guitar I have is I cannot for the life of me find the little lyric anywhere? Like is it behind the pickup or something? 😭
I think this Shawn Mendes model as an instrument is nice, but I personally don't like its signature appointments. This specific signature model doesn't seem to sell well and are plentiful at reduced prices. If Martin sold a non-signature version of 000JR-10e "no cutaway with electronics and with a pickguard" they would sell many of them, but they don't offer this version at this time. You can find a cutaway version with electronics but without a pickguard.

From my understanding they are comparable to the Martin 000 series. I’m a Martin fanboy for life but if there’s a 700 dollar guitar (RK RO-318 or 328) that’s comparable to a 3,000 dollar guitar (000 18 or 28). I’d pick one up in a heartbeat.

Just purchased one today, unbelievable guitars! I have also have the Dreadnought junior which is great, but I think this blows that one away!
Various song lyrics of his are etched in random places in each guitar. On mine the words "What a beautiful start" are etched into the tail block.
Mine says “you’ll never be alone”.
Do you guys happen to know where other locations for the inscriptions may be? I don’t see anything on the sides of the body interior or the tail block

Pickup, electronics, better gig back, better neck wood. Nicer top look.
