Visiting Istanbul's Incredible Cat Paradise Island - Fenerbahce Island

This is Fenerbahce Island. It's not actually an island, but you do have to cross a small bridge to get there, so we can call it a peninsula. Cats outnumber humans here at any time of the year. In the summer, the island fills with visitors from all around the world, yet there are still more cats than people. If you get tired while petting cats, you can order cold drinks or tea and enjoy the amazing views from the cafes. My favorite cafe was under maintenance, so I went to my second favorite one. The cafes are cat-friendly, too. In fact, you could say that the cats let the cafe owners do their business on their island. If you're considering a visit, please bring some food for the cats. And if you're allergic to cats, make sure to bring some meds and enjoy the ride.
