I worked and lived on Whidbey Island for four years. During that time I experienced many instances of racism. I was followed and harassed several times while shopping at Payless Supermarket, in Freeland. Several times while walking along Cultus Bay Rd.,n Clinton, White residents would stop and ask me if I was lost? It is a great place to live if you are White.
