Dear God. I want t see the plot of this film as one of those godawful Japanese dating sims. "Who will be your boyfriend? Plucky Human Rancher? Stern and stately Martian Prince? Troubled but soulful Crasses of the Red Planet? Spooky and enigmatic smooth-talking skeleton?" This would fit amazingly well.

Although it didnt say it on the subtitles, Crasses is a priest... And yes, I want a date simulator about them xD

¡Hey Bob!
    Translation:
Hey Bob! First of all, it makes me really proud as a Mexican to see a movie from our Golden Age in this series, by one of my favorite film critics! I really appreciate the effort you did to pronounce in Spanish. And, all things considered, it wasn't half bad. Finally, two things, first, hope you include one of "Samson vs"'s movies in the next Schlocktober, and secondly, it really surprised me he's called "Samson" in the States since his actual name is "El Santo" or "The Saint" in English! (Although it also happens the other way around, until very recently Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson were known as Bruno Diaz and Ricardo Tapia here in Mexico)
Saludos desde Mexico y sigue así!

For what it's worth, I believe the one public-domain TV dub of Santo vs. las Mujeres Vampiro that MST3K had access to was the only El Santo movie that re-named him "Samson" in the U.S. Most other dubs we got here named him properly, and the movies have a pretty strong following stateside :)

Recuerda q ya existía un personaje llamado "The Saint" en EEUU (y Gran Bretaña, q es d dónde origina), así q es posible q al Santo lo cambiaran a un nombre más genérico como "Sampson" o sea "Sansón" para evitarse problemas.

You just did in a very accurate and beautifully articulated way something that I haven't been able to do in my entire life even with other fellow mexican cinefiles .. And that is ,explaining what makes a movie like "LA NAVE DE LOS MONSTRUOS" such a fun movie to watch. You're The HOMBRE Bob! (y)

HOLY FREAKING MOLLY! (gotta keep the comment PG)
As a Mexican, I feel deeply ashamed. I never heard of this movie, the humor of the golden age of mexican cinema is really good (and actually quite accurate to the way people used to speak and still speak in some rural communities to this day) and this movie sounds like a total blast, hope we get more MovieBob feat. Mexico hahaha
BTW: The spanish pronunciation is amazing compared to what I've experienced from some people, of course there's accent and whatever, but the tone is good and the pacing keeps up, NICE JOB

There's lots of great movies from the "Golden age of mexican cinema", the thing is that not all of them come with subtiltles, but there are some that have been restored and released with subtitles, like : "The skeleton of Mrs. Morales"
which is a great dark comedy, this film was also picked by The Criterion Collection and added to their list of gems of world cinema.
_ "The Skeleton of Mrs. Morales" (1960) ___ Just click the CC button for english subs.
      th-cam.com/video/cxU7DdqT5aQ/w-d-xo.html
_ "Macario" (1960), this was the first mexican film to be nominated by the Academy Awards for best foreing film.
and is a must watch during "The day of the dead" festivities in mexico.
      th-cam.com/video/IWgHpWJXllo/w-d-xo.html
_ "Los olvidados" 1950, (The forgotten ones), English title: "The young and the damned"
Last time I checked this film still was among the best top 100 foreing films of all time.
      th-cam.com/video/DX1uyJUa1o8/w-d-xo.html
There's many more great films, but like I said, not all of them come with english subs.

He did it again in his "Dragon Ball Z" episode, when he said that "most Western audiences didn't discover DBZ until 1995"... despite the fact that at that point DB and DBZ had been a pop culture juggernaut for years in Europe and Latin America for many years already.

"Pronunciación Española" is a weird way to phrase it. It sounds like you're reffering to Spanish as in relation to the nation of Spain. Which is also a thing, and what 99% of all flamewars on Spanish translated American media on TH-cam are fought over, since there's usually two dubs, Latin Spanish and Spain Spanish. So obviously you gotta root for YOUR dub side of the Ducktales theme. XD

I really hate this "it's old so it's good" attitude with many movie buffs.

Bob, I love ya, but for the love of god please stop using whatever background music/sounds you're using behind your voice. That high pitched sound fading in and out almost like a microphone feeding back is really unpleasant, and while I understand it's use as a "spooky" sound effect, it's really quite harsh on the ears when you have to hear it every 20 seconds, not to mention it decreases the apparent production value of your video, since, like I said, it sounds almost like your own mic is feeding back.
