Brilliant Ray! Scenery stunning! When I seen your new tent, Stripey popped into my head! Looking forward to your next adventure and your tent vlog! Stay safe!😎
Good spot and beautiful tent! Thanks a lot for mentioning Ray. I couldn’t manage to get a good fit with the Lanshan inner + A-frame setup either…Bonfus has a nice option which would fit with an A-frame but at the moment I am not willing to spend anymore money… thanks a lot. ATB Stripey
No problem mate. You have some great films out so keep at it. Did ask Ron at MLD if he would make a half-n-half inner (Solid / mesh) with T-Zip but he is not really interested. Matter of fact the biggest bugbear of mine is not having a two way zip on the door. That way you can just open the top section for a few inches to see what the weather is doing or a bit more ventilation. Again when I asked if he could do that as an extra I was willing to pay for he thought I was mad and wouldnt do it. Said that nobody has ever asked for it or would actually want it. Never mind it is what it is. Atb and happy trails.
@@RS.Outdoors I see. I have a two way zipper at the door but hardly use it tbh. I am a kind of a digital guy, open/closed 😂. Was looking into the whole inner story for quite some time now, tempting to do my own but it won’t be cheaper either - might even just go with a no see um mesh without a door at all. Super light and I can use my bathtub, or just like last year - basically just sleeping with gloves and a head net. Looking forward to see what you do. Cheers Edit: Not sure if you have seen it but at the forcan ridge Sam used a bear paw wilderness design dcf inner which he quite liked apart of the length as he is a little more than 6 foot.
Ray, you truly have one of my favorite channels. I love listening to your genuine, relaxed chats to camera (to me). Also glad that after lamenting the cost of camping gear in your last video that you have continued to collect tents and express regeret at getting rid of some. We buy till we die.
Hi Ray, we passed you on our way to Bob Scotts bothy coming from the fords of Avon refuge hut. I wasn't 100% sure it was you at the time or else we would of said hello. Great adventure. All the best Lee.
I'm looking forward to the next video Ray.. will you do a top ten tent countdown? I've had my eye on the TGO for a while myself... It does look very interesting depending on which route.. Good to see you out stretching your legs.. 🤜🤛
Hi mate. I do plan on doing a film about the tents I have owned at some point but still trying to get round to it. However did get the chance to do a slight wind comparison test of the Duomid against the Hilliberg Soulo in my new film this week. Great to see your films out on the Skye Trail. Atb
Hi mate. Works well so far and did get to put it slightkly to the test this weekend with some 20+mph winds in the morning. Did not that the tent didnt flap as nearly as bad as the Soulo did at similar wind speeds in my other film.
Sorry for the delay, but I was the bearded TGOer you met. We took a rest day in Braemar and kept the local pubs in good company. Hopefully run into you again, if you're ever in the Kintail area give us a shout, will get you a pint.

However I do find I slide on it easy if pitched on a slight slope and maybe thats just due to my sleeping bag material. It is like the pockets seem to keep you more fixed on the mat if you know what I mean. Atb
@@RS.Outdoors I know what you mean Ray, i have that same problem with my Uberlite but if i place my Thinny beneath it it seems to fix the issue .
