My Okinawa praise got fired and burnt completely. It's very hard process to claim insurance. I got the insurance after 8 months of the incident. After a several visit to Police Station, Fire station, Showroom, RTO I got the IDV value of the bike. Finally I cancelled my RC and submitted all documents to the insurance company.

I have used more protection system to charge my Okinawa praise, but still it got fired. 1. I have used separate 16 A socket with 1.5 sqmm wiring. 2. It has separate RCCB and MCB 3. Separate energy meter to monitor power consumption. 4. Programmed timer system to charging. 5. Timer will switch on at 3 am and cutoff at 6am. 6. I never over charged my ebike. 7. Charged at outdoor. 8. I have maintained a detailed report of everyday battery power consumption , charging time, kms driven etc.. Even though my EV got fired. Always use DCP type fire extinguisher for EV fire accident. If use water, hydrogen can easily react with Lithium metal and it enhances the fire.
I my opinion India need robust electric vehicles. We need Vehicle for mere transportation then what is the need of touchscreen, navigation etc. 1. They need to provide good quality lithium chemistry batteries. 2. All e bike must have 5 years warranty on Motor, Controller and Battery. 3. Proper water proofing for ebike electrical and electronics parts. 4. Spare parts availability must.

When cars are getting converted for lpg to save money there were many accidents happened to show lpg for cars are not safe and can explode at any time. but later it was fine tuned and many are using lpg without any fear. even the same case for cng too.. now the era has come for EV in starting time we can see victim few incidents like this later people start using it.. also i have not seen any other ev brands getting fire as such.. if they compromise in quality then this is the outcome.

Even though I like Lithium battery vehicles, I dropped the idea because of this and switched to LFP battery operated vehicles as of now mostly Okaya, that too after the test drive.

In removable battery models even the loose connector will cause huge heat production due to short circuit. (DC current will cause huge problem with lose contact). It's true for each soldering (spot welding) inside the battery's box and conector inside them.

NMC battery temperature = 25° to 30°c
LFP battery temperature = 60° to 65°c
* During summer our temprature is 36°c our NMC temperature is just 25° to 30° c so we take After drive take 30 mins & after charge to drive a vehicle take 30 mins time
