    Why would you use a hand ascender instead of using a secondary descender? Just asking for knowledge…. I have one Petzl rig and two singing rock descenders. Could I just replace the hand ascender with one of my backup descenders

      I dont see how you can replace a hand ascender with a descender? That doesnt make sense to me? Or do you mean, instead of going into you croll or chest ascender, get into a second descender?
      That would be the best and most practical thing to do. Depending on the job though... If you need to ascent out afterwards it might not be the best way..

      I dont hahaha. If I would need to do that I would make sure to take them with me. Tie the ends together or take it with me on a cowstail
