Long time promised video today, Captain Jack Sparrow. One of the most known, cult character ever created, incredibly interpreted by the one and only Johnny Depp. This character represent an important part of my childhood and I'm sure It's the same for a lot of you.
This video has been cursed, It has been canceled many times, the audio of these movies were extremly hard to work with but I'm glad I finally managed to go through it.
This video is also dedicated to a loyal friend of mine who has been waiting for it since a long time.

So, for anybody that missed the storyline they cut out of At World's End:
Jack was once a proper sailor for the British Royal Navy, but his services were sold to the East India Trading Company. This is where he meets Beckett, who assigned Jack to deliver a cargo shipment from England the Caribbean. To Jack's surprise, the shipment was actually a collection of slaves. Jack (being Jack) freed the slaves because he felt it was wrong and was labeled a pirate for doing so. This is when Beckett sunk the Black Pearl, Jack's ship, prompting Jack to ask Davy Jones to raise the ship from the depths. There was a brilliant scene where Beckett said that Jack's "good deed" cost Beckett an enormous fortune not to mention the cargo he was supposed to deliver, Jack responded by quietly saying "People aren't cargo, mate." Another cut scene from the same sequence had Jack thank Beckett unprovoked. When Becket asked what Jack was thankful for, Jack said, "You have spared me the possibility of becoming anything other than what I am." Beckett was much more built out as a villain and made Jack a lot more human, but they cut it to keep the rating at PG-13 and on "Disney Brand".
Cutting this storyline also made Jack's death in the second film less important. Remember the village of fishermen (where the gang met Tia Dalma)? The people that were mourning Jack's death, somberly holding candles in knee-deep water to pay respect after he was killed by the Kraken? Those were the slaves that Jack freed at the cost of his own life and freedom. He had helped them set up a small island for themselves to live on, and some of his first pirate excursions were to collect supplies that they might need to build up their society in seclusion. Jack knew that if any of them were ever found, they would be returned to slavery.
Additionally, in the first-ever Pirates of the Caribbean film, when Elizabeth is berating Jack for being a drunk who sat on a beach until someone came to rescue him, there was a cut piece of dialogue that really made Jack a lot darker than Disney wanted him to go. Elizabeth says, "Are any of the stories I've read about you true, or not?!" Jack responds by pulling up his sleeves and opening his shirt which reveals dozens of scars and mangled injuries that have poorly healed. While it's never stated, these scars and injuries are assumed to have been sustained either in his escape from the Navy following his betrayal of Beckett, him being tortured, or from his time as a pirate. Either way, if Beckett hadn't asked Jack to make a cargo shipment of people, Jack would be a free man. They retconned this choice because we later see Jack shirtless with nothing other than tattoos on his body.
This is the whole crux of Jack's character, whose development and arc was completely cut from the last film to save time since the film was already bloated. It's established much better in the cut scenes of At World's End that Jack wants to take Davy Jones' place as Captain of the Dutchman to ensure his survival, which makes it all the more heartbreaking when he sacrificed that goal to save Will in the final fight. You see a remnant of that story arc in the scene when Jack hesitates to stab the heart, but it's less out of fear of commitment and more out of the impulsive anger to kill the person that killed his friend. Jack sacrifices all that he's ever wanted, to sail the seas forever, to save Will, and almost nobody knows about that choice because they cut everything leading up to it.

The 2nd and 3rd films are vastly underrated. The Hans Zimmer score is iconic and the arc between the two films is heartbreaking and so much deeper than it appears.
IMO the second and third are the best films of all of them. 1 is close but i prefer 2 and 3

If you know anything about flim promotion you would notice it was a clear sign that Johnny wasn't supporting character. @@alexandrospalentzas7667 well to sum it up... the woman Amber Heard (she stared in aquaman with Jason mamoa) that johhnny Depp married for barely two years basically destroyed his career lying saying he abused her when she was really abusing him, getting pissed off at him for trying to walk away from fights especially. Even put makeup on to fake bruises while talking about his drug history which had nothing to do with her really cause that was years ago. And him being stupid was trying to work it out with her cause he had feelings for her still even tho you can tell from all the other info that came out she was just with him for the money. So he kept quiet and just took all the bullshit hoping it would all work out meanwhile everyone was turning against him really bad to the point people wanted him kicked out of the fantastic beasts trilogy even tho the movie sucked cause of the writing and some of the other acting choices not him, tho his look was really wrong I feel for his Grindelwald character.
So Disney kicked him out of the pirates of the Caribbean movies as well even tho he's basically the star of the franchise and they weren't done making them.

Yes, Johnny has been dropped from Pirates of the Caribbean because of the allegations Amber Heard made against him. Since Amber has been exposed as a liar and as the actual aggressor in the relationship, Johnny needs to come back to POTC!

Watching this after listening to the recording of Amber Heard and Johnny Depp. Hits a lot harder than I thought it would, imagining him working through all his iconic roles whilst being abused. "Close your eyes and pretend its all a bad dream. That's how I get by." He deserves better.

I could never edit Jack Sparrow, no one could, because he is such a hard character to edit, the way you took the scenes, put them together, made it your own to bring out Jack's complexity and the reflexion on himself is absolutely mesmerizing.
You embellish what you edit, the atmosphere... fuck**g hell... so hopeful and epic but beautiful at the same time. This filled me with joy and was truly what I needed. As I've said for the past videos, your quotes just merge with the music, it's a pleasure to even listen to.
