What a cool Dad!👌 Hey Steve, I just wanna let you know you've been great help in general, I've seen most of your videos and learned alot from them. The amount of effort and dedication you put in these videos is admirable! You got alot of love for surfskating, and I share the same passion! Keep living it up! 🤘
Shavings of bath soap from a bar will work in the pivot cup instead of wax and most people have that on hand already. Nice board Liberty. Have fun. :-)
Dude, so happy to see all this new content from you! Welcome back! I'm waiting on a new deck for my board and will definitely do some tuning as I move everything over.
I've found the new skate tools the bomb; unlike the skate tools of the past, the sockets and bits fit much more tighter and accurately than in the past. I've also found the best Phillips is the short stubby.
I was thinking about buying hip pads, hip bruises last so long. I like a backpack for shoulder and back protection, it does change your weight distribution a tad however. Most people can handle a backpack though.
I use a pair of adjustable hip pads and they have saved me many times! No matter your experience, you never know what could happen, and it helps to have em and skate another day! Not to mention, an accident left me with a real bad hip, but I can't let that stop me!
Would love a review of this board! It’s the one I’m looking at too but a total beginner and the price is a little hard to swallow when I don’t know if I’ll even get it rolling😂. I’ve watched a bunch of your other guides where you’ve said the carver cx is a good choice for beginners so I would assume this is the same but it’s nice to see the actual board. All the grlswrl boards are cx not c7 so there’s not even the option.
I own this girl swirl board- I still consider myself a beginner and was so excited to see this board as the example he used for tuning. I LOVE my board and it came perfectly tuned right out of the box. If u buy this u will not be disappointed
I don't know, because I'm not a surfer and I don't know what wax you use. The important thing is that you don't want any extra oils in there, like what you'd find in scented candles.
@@SurfskateLove there a bit farther apart these days which I don't mind it means somebody got a jobby job. I take what I get . I gotta dust off my surfskate.
I'm going out on a limb here for those who want to think about the excitement of danger and safety a little more, about something that is interesting at least for me to think about that does not apply to my or your surfskating, just like being a top professional sport star is worlds beyond merely well above average talent like ours. It is by far wiser to surfskate with safety gear because surfskating is not much safer than the trapeze or tightrope. The exception I am referring to here is as stated incredibly rare. Just like for the trapeze artist or tight-rope walker, only for a very few talented athletes (not the very top) it is reasonable that the full experience at every level includes first doing it with and then without safety equipment. M-a-y-b-e unless one goes very slow, step by step, so slow that it is more about enjoying the journey. And I think everyone can agree that there are the ones even rarer than that, superhuman rare, the few so rare nearly no one ever meets them. Videos of their brilliance exist on TH-cam: sick individual athletes brilliant-crazy enough to remain somehow measured in physical chaos that don't need it at all. But my guess is that such talent is one in ten million or so. And even they can be very unlucky and still crash and never be the same. But the probability of that is very low for them, much lower than driving a car in traffic, and easily low enough to take that chance. For everyone else going too fast or too big with something they're not very, very good at already will with very high probability result in a fall that seriously debilitates or kills them... and it can happen even with safety gear, but less so.
Hi, i've never skated but i'd really like to. Could you please some nice surfskates? I need it to cruise in the country or in the city(the ground isn't flat, it's made of stones) and have fun. I was thinking for a SLIDE surfskate, but idk which one to choose...thoughts? Thanx 🙏
Ok - up to speed by watching more of your content (thank you...!); so my issue is that on my c7 it appears my spring nut bolt can be tightened all the way, or it feels like its just disengaged - like theres no gradation in tension; is that something you've heard of...?

I would say to look at the Carver Triton series.

Hi, Liberty!🥰
Thanks for all the knowledge you offer 🙏!!!! Can I use the wax the one I on my surf board? 🏄♂️

@@SurfskateLove I use Sex Wax but I already know that they put another's ingredients. I will buy a pure wax. Thank's for answer my question. 🙏
Good to catch up with your videos.
Just getting started, my friend! Stay tuned for many more!

tanks for your advices! witch bushings you recommend for a looser cx truck?
RipTide 87.5a: th-cam.com/video/t-UQDldXmKc/w-d-xo.html
Is it possible to tighten a yow meraki truck to make it more stable?
No. You’ll damage the bearings.

I just bought a carver board and there aren't any speed rings. You'd think with a company like that, they would be included🤔
You don't need speed rings with built-in bearings, which Carver come with (only Carver and SpiceSkate come stock with built-in bearings).
Well...wait.....Libs board came with speed rings. But not with the built-in bearings? I don't understand.
i notice you dont address loose spring nut bolt or adjust - maybe c7 different than cx or youve discussed before...

I feel that when I loosen it too much, not when I tighten it.
@3:29 oh snap! Yes hip pads sound good. Especially when you are getting older. Our bodies don't rejuvenate as they used to.
Do they make skateboard pants with pads built in? I find hip pads to be restrictive/hot and you need maybe a size up of jeans to be comfy.
