Zionism is an extreme form of nationalism for Jews who view the indigenous population of Palestine as in the way of their plans for a "greater Israel". They don't care how they achieve this goal, even if it means genocide or ethnic cleansing. Zionism has got nothing to do with the religion of Judaism. It's a political nationalistic ideology.

What she does not comprehend is that Palestinians don't want peace. They do not want Israel to exist. They had 19 years to have a statehood but refused. They want all of Israel. Let her live among the Palestinians in Gaza or the West Bank and see how long she will last being there. She should move out of the U.S. & embrace the Arabs by living in their country if she hates the U.S. government policy supporting Israel.

Meanwhile, this book says the opposite.
      Sahin Muslim [7339] 82 - (2922) It was
      narrated that AN Hurairah said:
      "The Messenger of Allah said:
'The Hour will not begin until the
Muslims fight the Jews, and the
Muslims will kill them, until a Jew
hides behind a rock or a tree, and
the rock or tree will say: "0
Muslim, 0 slave of Allah, there is
a Jew behind me, come and kill
      him." Except the Gharqad (a
thorny tree), for it is one of the
      trees of the Jews."
      Quram 5:32-33
That is why We ordained for the Children of Israel that whoever takes a life-unless as a punishment for murder or mischief in the land-it will be as if they killed all of humanity; and whoever saves a life, it will be as if they saved all of humanity.1 ˹Although˺ Our messengers already came to them with clear proofs, many of them still transgressed afterwards through the land. Indeed, the penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and spread mischief in the land is death, crucifixion, cutting off their hands and feet on opposite sides, or exile from the land. This ˹penalty˺ is a disgrace for them in this world, and they will suffer a tremendous punishment in the Hereafter.

It states the conditions by the British Crown under which the refugee jews were allowed to live in Palestine. One of the conditions is “‘that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religeous rights of existing non-jewish communities in Palestine”. Mind you, already in 1917.

Friends, I find myself *STANDING WITH ISRAEL* for a few reasons (please do let me know if the following reasons are wrong). In 2005 Israel withdrew all Israeli security forces and 21 settlements (9000 Jews) from the Gaza Strip *in the absence of peace negotiations.* This would allow Gaza to develop their economy and build a peace-seeking society, which is developed, free, law-abiding, and transparent and which adheres to democratic principles. Palestine could have been the Hong Kong of the Middle East...
But what do we know? Hamas soon won elections there and the agricultural and industrial infrastructure left by the Israelis was destroyed and Hamas immediately began shelling Israel with rockets and have continued to invest billions towards their terrorist infrastructure underground. Is that how you repay a neighbor trying to live peacefully with you?
And then just before October 7, Israel had been working on a peace treaty with Saudi Arabia, in the spirit of the Abrahamic accords for peace in the Middle East. Sensing the progress towards peace, Hamas *(being the puppets of Iran and its desire to cut Israel off from the face of the earth)* struck with an attempted barbaric ethnic cleansing of the Jews on October 7 when babies were killed, women rap3d and killed/burned alive and young people at a music festival were gunned down in cold blood! Why is it that every everytime they celebrated their evil acts with the blood curdling chant: *"ALLAHU AKBAR!"?* What is the meaning of this chant?
I suppose you think Israel was just supposed to fold their arms and say thank you very much to Hamas, right?
The loss of innocent Palestinian life is deeply regretted (considering that Hamas is embedded in the civilian population and launches rockets from neighborhoods, schools, hospitals and kindergartens) but Israel MUST DESTROY the Hamas terrorist infrastructure so that Hamas will never recover, rearm and restart its genocidal ethnic cleansing of Israel like it tried to do on October 7.
Unless you have been living under a rock, Hamas do not care even if they get more of the land. They want all the land, the whole thing. Remember the slogan "From the river to the Sea, Palestine will be free"? Palestine, according to Muslims, will only be free if the Jews are eradicated from the river Jordan to the sea: genocide.
Hamas or Islam has no real interest in peace with Israel. If you do, then either you are deceived, dishonest or you live in a fantasy!
Hamas is motivated by their 7th century god, Allah's commitment to the death-wish of eradication of Jews.

There are unhelpful assumptions in your statement about microaggression. On ANY issue, if you paint much of the world as your enemy significant portions of it will rise to meet your expectations.

She has real courage and a deep sense of empathy for herself. Her face looks peaceful and she speaks from a place of mourning her traumas and redifining her identity and finding her path toward acceptance of herself and others. I hope she's having the support she needs as her opinions might be not popular in her family and israeli society.

"I start with the story of my great great grandma telling their Story of Survival, because in that Story of Survival there's also the The Need to Escape, and in that need, the need to assimilate into a new identity of a colonizer, of a settler colony, and in the doing of that there wasn't a moment of care, to take care of what just happened in their bodies, and that became a need to Arm ourselves.
I mean, I feel like I see it as a fear of annihilation, also an extreme form of victim-hood that is in our bodies, and from that place it's always been very, very hard when I see my elders, to release the Arms and to really tend to that original trauma."

that is an interesting point she made about the fact that the HOlocaust survivors never got a chance to heal or care for themselves but they had to essentially hit the ground running to defend themselves. All that unresolved trauma from the Holocaust evolved into this very dysfunctional mindset and ideology. I know that Gabor Mate speaks on the issue of Trauma....

It is shameful to link the Jewish religion with these shameful acts. Do not speak in the name of the Jews. You can express your personal or Zionist opinion, but do not link religion.
