Totally agree I feel like some certain areas need more control like Feniton when a steam passes through. Safety comes first on the railways not steam trains (this is all coming a railway enthusiasts point of view)
@@danielbulltrainspottingvid3661? There are significant stretches between Salisbury and Pinhoe which have been downgraded to single track, Feniton/Sidmouth junction being in one of them. What i meant was that the SR mainline has been reduced to a shadow of its former self which is very sad to anyone who remembers the line before the Western region took over its administration in the 1960's.
Ignorance and shortsightedness. No sector has been run as poorly as the railwys since the 1960s. It reminds me of how they allowed the Paddington to Birmingham route to become rundown, only to then clamour for a multiple billion pound investment in order to build a completely new line from London to Birmingham. I can see something similar happening if there is a renaissance in rail travel from London to towns in the SW.
@@gainsbourg66 imagine the difference if the full sw main line was still in existence as well as the great central, Matlock- Buxton and Waverley Lines. Capacity is so reduced it’s crazy.
Interesting footage.Great job !
Thank you
That shot of Clan Line storming up from Cowley Bridge was magnificent thanks for sharing this!!
Cheers mate
@@danielbulltrainspottingvid3661 Always a pleasure to comment on a great video! 😊👍
All those idiots in the yellow area at Feniton station are enough to give the driver a heart attack!!

@@lazerjet899overshoots8 Im a Steam Railway photographer and it makes me mad when people make the railway operation dangerous.
Nice video but can't help feeling sad when seeing the LSWR/SR main line reduced to single track.
They aren't reduced to single track they had to run her from London Waterloo to Exeter that way because they couldn't turn the engine around

@@sknn497I was going to say, thank the western region short sightedness for that one. One of the best mainlines to serve the west too.
