If you’re not quite ready to meet with them, you’re welcome to continue watching more videos and reach out with any questions as you explore further.
      If I may suggest one meaningful step: start reading the Book of Mormon daily. By doing so, you’ll invite the Spirit into your life more abundantly, helping you feel peace, receive personal guidance, and experience the blessings that come from drawing closer to Jesus Christ.
      The Book of Mormon is a powerful second witness of Jesus Christ, complementing the Bible and affirming the truths of the Gospel. It was written for our time, offering teachings and insights that prepare us for Christ's second coming and help us navigate the challenges of today. By reading it, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of God's love and His plan for you personally.

      We believe that the Bible and the Book of Mormon both testify of the divinity of Jesus Christ and work together to declare God’s word. Here’s how the two sacred texts complement each other and why we believe in the calling of Joseph Smith as a prophet.
      Paul’s writings in the Bible, such as his epistles, are central to Christian teachings. He affirmed the role of Jesus Christ as our Savior, saying in 1 Corinthians 3:11: “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.” Paul also taught about the gifts of the Spirit, prophecy, and revelation continuing in the church, as seen in Ephesians 4:11: “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers.” We believe that God’s pattern of calling prophets has continued throughout history.
      We believe that after the original apostles were martyred, the authority to lead Christ’s church was lost for a time, resulting in the need for a Restoration. Amos 3:7 affirms that “Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.” This belief in the need for ongoing revelation is foundational in our faith, which is why we see Joseph Smith as a modern prophet, restoring truths that had been lost. Joseph Smith's prophetic role is seen as fulfilling this principle of continuous revelation, with Revelation 14:6 describing an angel bringing the "everlasting gospel," which we interpret as referring to the Restoration and the coming forth of the Book of Mormon.
      Just as the Bible is the word of God, we believe that the Book of Mormon is an additional witness of Jesus Christ. It is not meant to replace the Bible but to stand alongside it in confirming the divinity of Christ. 2 Corinthians 13:1 says, “In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.” The Bible and the Book of Mormon together serve as two witnesses of Jesus Christ’s mission and His gospel.
      Furthermore, the Bible references the uniting of the “stick of Judah” and the “stick of Joseph” in Ezekiel 37:16-17, which reads: “Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah... then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph... And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand.” Latter-day Saints interpret this as a prophecy regarding the coming together of the Bible (the stick of Judah) and the Book of Mormon (the stick of Joseph), both testifying of Christ. This joining of records strengthens our understanding of God’s dealings with His people on different continents and times.
      Both scriptures teach the same fundamental principles of faith in Christ, repentance, and the need for baptism by proper authority (see John 3:5 and 2 Nephi 31:5). They also both affirm that salvation comes only through Jesus Christ. Acts 4:12 tells us, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Similarly, the Book of Mormon teaches in 2 Nephi 25:26, “And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ.”
      While Paul’s writings are from the Bible and Joseph Smith is a prophet who brought forth the Book of Mormon, we see them as part of the same divine plan. Both testify of Jesus Christ and work together to guide us back to Him. We are grateful for continuing revelation and for the truths restored through Joseph Smith, while also cherishing the teachings of the Bible.
      I encourage you to prayerfully study both the Bible and the Book of Mormon, seeking guidance as promised in James 1:5, “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God.” We believe God continues to speak to His children today, just as He did in ancient times.

      @TheWordsofChrist  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I'd like to respond with respect and provide some context to the claims about Joseph Smith.
      We believe that Joseph Smith was called by God to restore the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. This belief is grounded in personal testimonies, the fruits of his works, and the divine revelations he received, which led to the coming forth of the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, and the establishment of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As Christ taught, “By their fruits ye shall know them” (Matthew 7:16). Through the teachings of the restored Church-brought forth by heavenly messengers as foretold in Revelation 14:6-millions have found peace, purpose, and a deeper connection with Jesus Christ.
      As for the internet and its influence, while it provides access to a wealth of information, it is also a place where both truth and misinformation can spread. It is important to carefully evaluate sources and consider the context of historical events. The truthfulness of Joseph Smith’s prophetic mission, for many, comes through prayerful study and seeking personal revelation, as encouraged by James 1:5: “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God.”
      Your comment actually fulfills prophecy recorded in the 1800s, as spoken by an angel named Moroni. This is the same angel mentioned by John in the Book of Revelation, who would bring the everlasting gospel to the earth (Revelation 14:6).
      Revelation 14:6. "And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people."
      The Angel Moroni, as described in the Book of Revelation, is the one who brings the everlasting gospel to be preached to all nations (Revelation 14:6). Moroni also told Joseph Smith that his name would be known for both good and evil among all nations. It's remarkable to think that this prophecy, spoken to a 14-year-old boy, was recorded and has come to pass in such a profound way, with his legacy being recognized worldwide today.
      Joseph Smith History 1:33
      "He called me by name, and said unto me that he was a messenger sent from the presence of God to me, and that his name was Moroni; that God had a work for me to do; and that my name should be had for good and evil among all nations, kindreds, and tongues, or that it should be both good and evil spoken of among all people."
      I invite you to continue studying these matters with an open heart and mind. By engaging with both spiritual and historical perspectives, you can gain a clearer understanding of the life and mission of Joseph Smith. Neglecting this opportunity may result in missing the everlasting gospel that John prophesied about in Revelation. This is the same gospel that Christ Himself taught, and the Church He established is once again on the earth, built on the foundation of apostles and prophets, as mentioned in Ephesians 2:20.
      Those who diligently study the Bible will recognize the true Church, as clearly taught in scripture. Unfortunately, others may choose to mock, just as they did in the past-but this truth will stand until the very end.

      The Bible teaches that Jesus Christ founded His Church on the foundation of apostles and prophets. In Ephesians 2:20, Paul writes, “[The church is] built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone.” This passage highlights that Christ established His Church with apostles, whom He gave authority to lead. After Christ's ascension, the apostles continued His work, organizing His church and spreading the gospel.
      Scripture also foretells a period of apostasy. In 2 Thessalonians 2:3, Paul warns, “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first.” This suggests that after Christ’s ministry and the time of the apostles, there would be a departure from the original teachings and practices, which required eventual restoration.
      Throughout the Bible, God reveals truths to His people through prophets and messengers. Amos 3:7 says, “Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.” This scripture implies that God continues to reveal His will through inspired individuals. In John 16:12-13, Jesus Himself said, “I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth.” This suggests that revelation would continue beyond Christ's earthly ministry through the Holy Spirit.
      In Revelation 14:6, John sees an angel bringing the "everlasting gospel" to be preached to every nation, kindred, tongue, and people. This imagery emphasizes that the gospel message would continue to be declared to all corners of the earth, suggesting that divine intervention may happen again as the world approaches the fulfillment of God's plan.
      The Bible repeatedly affirms that Jesus Christ is the head of the Church. Colossians 1:18 states, “And he is the head of the body, the church.” The church, as the body of Christ, continues to operate under His guidance, with the foundation He originally laid through His apostles.
      While there are many Christian denominations today, the Bible emphasizes the importance of a church built on the foundation of apostles, prophets, and revelation, led by Jesus Christ Himself. Historical periods of change and apostasy are foretold in scripture, but the continuation of God’s revelations ensures that His true gospel remains accessible to all who seek it. As James 1:5 encourages, “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God… and it shall be given him.”
      This perspective seeks to uphold the teachings of Christ as laid out in scripture and encourages personal study and prayerful consideration of these biblical principles.

      The scriptures tell us and the prophet's.Tell us that there will be more records coming forth from the lost ten tribes and that we Should receive them when they come. We know the book of mormon to be the word of God. Because God himself testified that the record was from him and the translation is correct. There are many sources for truth out there and we should search for them, but only certain records will be canonized as true scripture.

    The bible translation of the creation is in error. The simple fact is that God did not "create man is his own image". Actually, man created God in his own image!!

    • @TheWordsofChrist
      @TheWordsofChrist  หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, the Bible clearly states that man is created in the image of God. Genesis 1:27 affirms this: “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” Unfortunately, many faith leaders have diluted this simple truth, leading to man-made creeds that describe God as having no body, parts, or passions. However, the Bible consistently teaches that God is personal and that humans reflect His divine nature. Exodus 33:11 describes how “the Lord spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend,” showing the personal and embodied nature of God.
      Additionally, Luke 24:39 records Jesus, after His resurrection, saying, “Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.” This demonstrates that God’s glorified, resurrected body is real and tangible, reaffirming that humanity is indeed created in His image.

      Get your head out of the sand and take a closer look-many of the leading experts in science and mathematics acknowledge the existence of a higher power. Their discoveries in the intricacies of the universe, from the laws of physics to the complexities of biology, reveal a degree of order and design that points to something greater than mere chance. Renowned figures like Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein, and modern physicists like Roger Penrose have all expressed awe at the underlying harmony and intelligence found in nature, suggesting a divine source behind the workings of the cosmos.
      Isaac Newton, one of the most influential scientists in history, made groundbreaking contributions to physics, calculus, and astronomy. While he was deeply analytical in his scientific endeavors, he was also devoutly religious. Newton believed that the universe’s laws, such as gravity and motion, were set by God. - Quote: “This most beautiful system of the sun, planets, and comets could only proceed from the counsel and dominion of an intelligent and powerful Being.” Newton saw the intricate order in the cosmos as undeniable evidence of divine creation.
      Though Albert Einstein did not conform to traditional religious practices, he often spoke of a higher intelligence behind the universe’s complexity. He believed in a sense of order and intelligence that transcends human understanding. - Quote: “Everyone who is seriously involved in the pursuit of science becomes convinced that a spirit is manifest in the laws of the Universe-a spirit vastly superior to that of man, and one in the face of which we with our modest powers must feel humble.” Einstein marveled at the universe’s order and saw this as pointing to something far greater than human comprehension.
      Johannes Kepler, who formulated the laws of planetary motion, saw his scientific discoveries as a way to understand God’s design in the universe. He believed that his work was a form of worship and that uncovering the mathematical laws of the heavens was a way of “thinking God’s thoughts after Him.” - Quote: “I had the intention of becoming a theologian, but now I see how God is, by my endeavors, also glorified in astronomy, for 'the heavens declare the glory of God.'” (Psalm 19:1) Kepler’s scientific work was driven by his belief that the cosmos reflects God’s divine order.
      Max Planck, a German physicist and the originator of quantum theory, also believed in the connection between science and divinity. Despite his revolutionary scientific discoveries, he held that science leads naturally to a belief in God. - Quote: “There can never be any real opposition between religion and science; for the one is the complement of the other... We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent Mind. This Mind is the matrix of all matter.” Planck’s exploration into the smallest building blocks of the universe only deepened his conviction in a divine creator.
      Roger Penrose, a mathematical physicist and Nobel laureate, has contributed significantly to our understanding of the universe. While not overtly religious, Penrose has suggested that the mathematical elegance of the universe points to something extraordinary. His work in the geometry of space-time and the fundamental constants of nature underscores the profound order inherent in the cosmos. - Quote: “I would say the universe has a purpose. It’s not there just somehow by chance.”
      Georges Lemaître, the originator of what we now call the Big Bang Theory, was both a physicist and a Catholic priest. He saw no conflict between his faith and his scientific work, often suggesting that scientific discoveries only strengthen the belief in a divine creator. - Quote: “There is no conflict between religion and science; they both share in the search for truth.”
      Blaise Pascal, known for his contributions to probability theory and the development of early computing machines, was also a deeply religious man. He saw science as a way to understand God’s creation but also believed that reason alone could not explain everything. - Quote: “The last proceeding of reason is to recognize that there is an infinity of things which are beyond it.” Pascal’s famous wager argued that belief in God was a rational decision because it is impossible for reason to fully comprehend the divine.
      These examples remind us that science and faith are not mutually exclusive but can complement each other in the search for truth and understanding of the universe.

    • @Roylamx
      @Roylamx หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No, if you believe in a supreme divine creator who knows and controls all of his creation then you have to believe in a god who is outside of all time and space and was not and could not be a created being. All we need to do is give credit to our great heavenly Father for our lives and our humble place in his divine creation and our chance to know him by hearing and following the promptings of his Holy Spirit to know he lives and loves us too.

    • @TheWordsofChrist
      @TheWordsofChrist  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we affirm our belief in a loving and supreme Heavenly Father, yet our understanding of God's nature differs somewhat from traditional Christian views. While we believe God is all-knowing and all-powerful, our scriptures and modern revelations offer additional insights into His attributes, His relationship to time and space, and the opportunity He gives us to know and become like Him.
      God the Father is not entirely outside of time and space but rather a glorified, exalted being who operates within an eternal framework. In the Bible, we read: "Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God." (Psalm 90:2)
      This verse teaches us that God is eternal, having existed from "everlasting to everlasting. "However, we understand this to mean that God’s eternity is a continuation of His existence, rather than being outside of time or beyond spatial existence.
      We believe God has a perfected, glorified body of flesh and bones. Joseph Smith received revelation that the Father, like the Son, possesses a physical body: "The Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man's; the Son also; but the Holy Ghost has not a body of flesh and bones, but is a personage of Spirit." (Doctrine and Covenants 130:22)
      This is different from traditional Christian belief, but it underscores that God is not an abstract force beyond space and time, but rather a personal, divine Father who governs the universe while being knowable and relatable.
      Another distinctive belief is that humans are literally God’s children and have the potential to become like Him. Latter-day Saints understand that our Heavenly Father created us, but we also believe that we are co-eternal with God in some sense (our spirits existed before we were born). This belief is consistent with the Bible’s teaching that we are made in God’s image: "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness." (Genesis 1:26)
      This scripture affirms that we have divine potential, and through following the teachings and example of Jesus Christ, we can grow to become like our Heavenly Father.
      We agree that one of the most important ways to know God is through the promptings of the Holy Spirit. Jesus promised His disciples that the Holy Spirit would guide them to all truth: "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." (John 14:26)
      Through the gift of the Holy Ghost, we receive personal revelation and guidance, enabling us to feel God's love and know that He lives.
      While we believe that God knows all things, we also affirm that He allows us to exercise agency and make choices, a key component of His plan for our growth and happiness: "For behold, this is my work and my glory-to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man." (Moses 1:39)
      God's purpose is not to control us but to guide us in becoming like Him through our choices and experiences.
      We give all credit and glory to our Heavenly Father for the gift of life, the opportunity to know Him, and the chance to follow the Holy Spirit. In our belief, God is both personal and relatable, allowing us to draw near to Him as our Father, and through His plan, we can become more like Him through Jesus Christ.

      Joseph Smith Jr saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. They looked alike. I have a testimony of the Book of Mormon and of the priesthood of our church. It is a belief in our church that God Almighty has a glorified body. A body of light with human characteristics.
