We hear on the news all the time regarding ecoli in lettuce, spinach, greens, or washed salad mixes. If eating anything that are lettuce or greens, wash them regardless if it was in a bag saying "washed and ready to eat" and use a salad spinner multiple times to get the water out. You can use thr spinner for any leafy veggies.
Avoiding spicy foods, masalas, ginger garlic paste, maida help in reducing stomach pain. Always keep some gas medicine at home. Dry ginger powder, ajwain are good for digestion.
Very wise decision to go to emergency Payal, i have a friend who had similar pain at night and it turned out to be a heart attack! Best to go to the doctor immediately. Glad everything is fine now🙏🏻🙌🏻

Payal kabhi kabhi aisa gas hota hai ki pain unbearable ho...my mom suffered from such pain few days back... God's grace sab theek hai...take care of him and Haan his stomach is used to light food... sometimes it reacts.take care

As of now avoid raw vegetables ( salad), give him something light food like kichiri. Sometimes acidity also causes too much stomach pain.
Sometimes raw vegetables for salad are dangerous for health. You have to consume it moderately. Keep soda or gingerly in your house for gas and acidity it will give you relief for time being.
Gas pain is also unbearable, give him in some lukewarm water some heeng, black salt and lemon, it gives a lot of relief instantly and does not have any side effects
Payal ...do keep tab on Shaumik's diet aage se ...avoid salads now ...with age ...body will.slowly reject certain things which is hard to digest ...let him have all indian foods with less spices ,oil .Becoz once ur body gets pain it will not leave you until u r careful.Otherwise it will aggrevate next 3 or 6 months or one year.
Please tell Shaumik to leave salad world 😊
Acidity is a big silent killer for all kinds of disease that is happening around the world.
Best suggestion would be understand ur body & eat well what suits you well.❤
Rai must be very excited to stay in a hostel for first time. Hat, sunscreen, dark glasses, rainproof jacket, portable charger (power bank), medicines, ready to eat upma mix (just add hot water) are some of the essential items for her. Glad that Shamik is ok now. Keep Eno fruit salt at home (from Indian store). Ask him not to over exercise or lift heavy weights.
Kidney stones and appendix can give intense pain. Let him drink lot of water. Keep his food light vegetarian with less oil for few days. Intestinal worms can also give pain. Deworm him with doctors medicine.
Payal such a scary incident. Good thing is it ended well and you both came home. In America raising children alone without grandparents or some family is so hard. Been through these situations so I can understand.
Alway eating salad...(anything raw) is not at all good. Having salad for dinner is ok but not every meal should b salad.
Khichdi, idli, fried rice with less oil n more veggies, mixed veg parathas with less oil, raita, uttappa with lot of veggies, pulses with rice are also very gud n healthy options
Payal once get your husband check to see that he is not having any stone in his stomach....because same had happened with my husband nd when we did sonygraphy we came to know that he is having stone.....if its gas problem give him carrom seed nd black salt mix together jst put it in mouth then drink water...its ver helpful

Yes payal in December this year I went to Bangalore to meet my son that time even I experienced the sane pain & when I came after some days I got diagnosed with gall bladder stone
Raw veggies and salads are high in fiber and hard and take little long time to digest. During this process certain veggies are gassy and cause really bad pain. Avoid raw vegetables and fruits after 3PM .
apple sider vinegar is best when you have gas you will get instant result(1-2 table spoon in one class water)
Similar thing happened to my husband a while ago. I gave him gripe water and gas drops which I keep handy for my babies. He started feeling better in five minutes.
OMG! I am from North Carolina...such a small world ...I grew up near the Raleigh NC area....best of luck to Rai...NC is very hot in the summer months for sure...For Shoumak, maybe it was a gall stone attack....check for that with your Dr..do more tests
Please be careful while having raw leaves in salads - it can have parasites. Better to have blanched leaves.

Payal really very scary especially when you are living away. Good to know that shaumik is good now. I have heard that gall bladder stones are very painful. By the grace of God he is fine now😊
Hey dear, It must be because of kidney stone. Same incident happened with my husband & Drs could not realise what the issue is. Sometimes when the stone is small it just gets flushed out & it pains a lot. Again it happened after 2-3 years & now he is diagnosed with kidney stone. I would advise him to drink lot of water & alkaline.

Methi se gas hota hai specially in night also palak .. I hve experience the same situation.
I have reduced eating cabbage cause that used to cause me a lot of stomach pains. I barely eat cabbage like once in 5 months

I had similar experience after eating raw salad leaves for a while. I always used to eat it in the past with no issues but suddenly one day I had the worst stomach ache. In ayurveda too it is not advised to eat raw greens,from then I stopped the greens. Hope Shaumik feels better soon!
Payal. Shomig eats alot of salad which can cause this pain, salad hav3 bugs pest ls etc which doesn't come out by washing this then cause pains and illness in the gut

I see your videos. N love your videos. Just want to know you that .. My father had unbearable pain .. after couple of times we got to know that he had stones in kidney. You can check it out in your yearly checkup or something.

Gas stomach me se jab bahar nahi nikal sakta tab aisa pain hota hai. Lagta hai pet me se jaan nikal jayegi. Dinner me jo khaya ussi ki wajah se gas hua hoga. Kabhi kabhi sab ek hi cheez khaye par sabko nahi hota. Jiska weak digestion ho ussi ko hota hai. Tell Shoumik da to avoid only salads. Itna light khana khate rahenge to humara Indian food digest nahi hoga, intestine will not be able to digest them.
Payal Di this can be terrifying I've had it happen to me twice, once at 29 then again at 39, was gallbladder attack. If his pain was right in center of his abdomen then straight through to the back and almost was difficult to have that area even touched, then it would most likely be gallbladder attack. It could be like me the amount of food he ate at that time wasn't his new normal (healthy salads etc) and the gallbladder has to eject a certain amount of bile to digest meat, dairy and carbs, and if we stray from strict veggies and meat to adding starches only once in a while this can trigger it..only way I fixed it, slowly adding back rice. Basmati rice is lowest on glycemic index, even lower than brown rice and is perfectly healthy to eat. He needs to eat SOME rice two meals a day to help offset any fat content of fish/meats he eats so the gallbladder isn't taxed when eating (ejection rate has to increase suddenly to digest meats, if there aren't starches there to help slow down digestion= inflammation= pain like you have never felt before) I only learned this from ending up in ER and seeing gastroenterologist who told me, everything in moderation and never drop carbs the body needs them for digestion. So have him add back into his diet some basmati rice, even half a cup and don't do any cream sauces/butter sauces etc or deep fried foods. I haven't had an attack for 4 years now. The same thing happened to me! Except I was having fever and chills and lots of sweating. I left work to go to the ED. They did blood work and CT scan. Now, I'm waiting for the bill 😢 I think it was from eating watermelon...

Gas pain generally radiating hoe. It happened to me once, I had immense pain , i cant describe it was more pain than i had during contraction during delivery. I couldnt even move and it happened in my entire abdomen region only for 2 days. I went to the emergency, they did all kinds of tests, blood and all because they couldnt see anything on scan and mri,, i was so much in pain they ordered immediate mri when they got nothing in the CT . they did bloodwork to see if i had any virus or disease working in there... they got nothing, they were so confused . then they said this happens only when you have some minimal kidney stones that are small and could easily pass out of the body on its own and when they are passing out you suffer that pain.. and only in these stone cases " we dont get nothing under the tests... " i never had that pain again..they gave me steroids for the pain i was 17 hrs in the ER . they said it might be a stone in my case but generally if any foreign item that is passing out cause these pains.. so please go the ER from the next time. just for safety. thank god everything is good now! take care

Everyone: the best home remedy for trapped wind/ gas is burnt toast. I’ve experienced very terrible stomach pains due to trapped wind in the intestines. Believe me it’s really painful because the spasms come and go. I had to call the night doctor, who advised me to throughly burn toast and eat it dry. The burnt char releases the wind. It really works! Now I always keep charcoal tablets in the house 😅

I have had the same experience with my husband.Too much pain. It turned out to be a kidney stone. It is possible that he was in pain because of that and while urinating it came out and the pain stopped afterwards.

Payal please check if its gall bladder stone .. its unbearably painful .. imagine when i was pregnant i was detected with gall stone in my 1st sonography ..while discussing with my doctors he said nobody can understand this pain except the patient.. like i used to cry loudly due to pain while pregnant and after long time it used to decrease as your can't eat very strong medicines in pregnancy..You keep a watch here after payal
