I think if it's got texture it's no longer a fart. David's logic makes me cry with laughter once again
Nervous pudding was 1930s diner slang 😂
Love this show!!
Thank you for this.
David's dressing gown featured on Would I Lie To You, interesting re-appearance there.
Nervous pudding I’ve only heard as a joke, but I was once surprised to find out what ambrosia salad is…and other salads that somehow have Jell-O and mayonnaise 🤢
American here. I've never once heard Jell-O called 'nervous pudding'. One time I was in southern Virginia and heard it called 'congealed salad'.
Haha, really, congealed salad?! Can't say I'd order that off a menu! 😂

Me neither! I had to wait until the food arrived to see what it was, lol (another person at the table ordered it).
As a Midwestern US American, I have also never heard of nervous pudding.
Yeah here to represent the deep south lol. No one calls it nervous pudding. I have heard congealed salad.
I think the researchers exclusively talk to New Yorkers who a) are either lying or telling them 1930's slang or b) are New Yorkers
The nervous pudding thing sounds like diner slang and probably picked it up from some old TV program.
Yeah they actually say that it's specific to diners - like "shit on a shingle" or "Adam and Eve on a raft."
The whole section about David sounds true. lol. TBH, if you said "David Mitchell is married to Victoria Coren". You would 100% say, Well thats clearly bullshit. lol.
American 62 years old, been in every state except Alaska. Lived northeast, southeast, west coast, southwest, NEVER HEARD OF NERVOUS PUDDING except as a joke. Never seen it on a menu. I have seen a jello dessert that looks like the ‘nervous pudding’ picture on google. Brits also appear to have trouble understanding the difference between our Jelly, Jam, and Preserves. I think between Fox News and the movies they have are uniquely warped view of America. But I’m definitely an Anglophile spiritually and genetically (77%). Even lived in London for a few months. 🏳️
Far superior to anything on American public radio.
Baseball was NOT invented by Abner Graves! It was invented by Abner Doubleday, an American Civil War hero.

Shots fired😱💩🦆😵
Just like in QI many "facts" are completely false
I’m just not a fan of Henning (sp?)
