For number boards, put a very tiny drop of PVA glue (Elmers clear glue or similar) into the hole and then push in the number board. I use a needle to get a very small drop so it doesn't squeeze any out. PVA isn't super strong, but it will hold plenty to keep them in and allow you to push them out if ever needed.
I enjoyed this very much . . . I have an Idea of my own on how to run 2 train's at the same time but you would need extra feeder tracks and a separate Kato Power Pack and Extension Triple Cord for the switches and a couple of Insulated Rail Joiner's . . I believe it could work . . Very Funny Dude and A Good Dad as Well !!! I Alway's Included My Kid's and Grandkid's In The Fun and Showed Them How To Operate The Train's As Well .
Do this, I've seen it done on 0 gauge, n HO videos! Operate two short trains far enough apart where one enters while the other leaves said loop. Not a good idea if you want longer trains! 🤔
It's Kah-to, not Kay-to. I heard a guy from Model Railroader Magazine say Kah-tow, and I may be wrong, but I figured those folks probably talk to Kato people directly, so they should know. Oh, one more thing: track that close to the edge of your table is an invitation to a 700 scale foot fall to the canyon floor! Don't ask how I know that, even with Kato track!
Yup I just had a brand new kato. E5 Silver streak do a 700ft scale dive onto my tile floor. Took my a couple hours to put it back together. Surprisingly it works just fine still.
IGNORANCE IS BLISS - BUT EXPENSIVE IN THIS HOBBY !!!! Looks like you've jumped into a technical Hobby feet first, that has dozens of (expensive) pitfalls for the Novice !!!! My suggestion is you join a local Model Railroad Club to "short cut the learning curve", and probably save a fortune into the bargain. A good club should have members who can help with virtually all technical issues and introduce you to products & manufacturers you've probably never even heard of, and where to obtain such products !!!! Happy Modelling 😝
Thanks! Glad you're enjoying the channel! I've made a few videos addressing making cheaper but better modeling additions. Here's one where I create real metal chainlink fencing you might be interested in... th-cam.com/video/SLvT5V2l398/w-d-xo.htmlsi=CHd3VDoNVC5neSb6
It is Kay-to, not Kay-to. Here is why: Japanese vowels are a,I,u,e,o. They are pronounced ah, ee, ooh (not you), ay, oh. If it was Kayto it would be spelled Keto.
Congratulations on your new baby 3:58

A very nice video and layout. I'm currently expanding my own Unitrack layout, though it's in HO scale.
