Back when EastEnders had great, pure and realistic characters that had real, proper storylines. I always sit in front of the TV watching EastEnders every evening when it was on. That to me has to be the best pastime ever.

Agreed. Steve McFadden especially, his acting whilst drunk is top notch and hilarious.

Fair enough i wasnt born till 1996, but still the early 2000’s were the best years for TV, better storylines, well written scripts amazing actors, now its just pure shite, n the only things i usually watch now are lost and supernatural, even thou they’re both finished😩x

By this point Grant was starting to grow up, Phil was regressing. They essentially swapped roles in the show around this time.
It makes sense of some weird way, Phil had to play the part for his mums sake while his brother and his dad were the hotheads of the family. Once his dad passed and grant grew and began a life of his own he felt he had to embody the two of them to not only protect Peggy but his kids, because that’s all he’s known and the more people left him over time the worse he got.

I don't have that episode, Jim. I sadly don't have a lot of the later 1990s. Once Sharon and Michelle left in 1995 i tended to not record many episodes.
Do you have the clip from when Phil and Sharon kiss then sleep together again in late 1994, right after an argument? I think it was around August or September.

Phil was always the tougher of the two but was a lot quieter. He only became a nastier character when Grant left. He had lost Kathy, Grant and his son. He didn't have to be smart or quiet anymore.
