Love the old and new coming together, how was heat of engine on printed mount, u could use some insulator material between motor and plastic, and bolts instead of screws. !! Nice man. That's one thing that would be nice is longer flight times instead of batteries.
So far so good on the mount heat wise, I used a more temperature resistant plastic called PETG and it's holding up really well. It's all held together with M3 fine thread screws. I'm getting about 7 or 8 minutes a tank but haven't run it dry yet to see what I can really get, but the nice thing is no downtime. Just fuel back up and go!
I was thinking of doing this and stumbled across this video. Really good job. Did you do more work on this project? I would love to discuss further. How’s the motor mount coming along?
Thanks! Close guess on the prop, running a 9x6. I'll be trying a 10x4 to see if it gives me the extra low end I'm wanting. Glad I could help bring back those good memories!
That's definitely coolfly 🪰 approved!! Way too cool!! Love your engineering!! Videos like this always breaths new life into our hobby. Love it!!!! New subscriber here!!!!!

brilliant.
That was really cool. The engine mount system is really interesting........
We fly a version of this by millennial r/c and love it. Millennial r/c's version is a thicker symmetrical wing without dihedral. Love it.
Gas powered? I looked for this and couldn’t find any info.

Magic. Job well done. The sky is the limit.
Did you modify the landing gear?
Thank you! No mods to the gear aside from them being the updated, slightly more flexible ones E-Flite released.
Hell yeah!
