Filmed in Dalen, Telemark, Norway at commercial hide. It is a spectacular place to photograph or film raptors. The fox was probably shot earlier and placed at the feeding station for the eagles. The only drawback is that it is cold as heck there.
This is close by where I live. It is fairly high. Close to 1000 meters above sea level. This is the premier golden eagle hides in Norway and the owner informs us via Facebook when the BBC is there. Probably because nobody else gets to be there when the BBC is filming.
@@tarjei99I think the footage for this episode was filmed in multiple locations. You're probably right about the eagle fight scene, but the rest of the scene showcased mountain landscapes which were most likely from the Alps.
The first eagle chased off the carcass had already eaten so much she looked like she was going to pop. Huge full crop on her. She probably didn't come back. instead she likely found a tree to sit in and digest.
I'm not against editing the footage of a documentary a bit for the sake of a better story, I just noticed that the eagle that first tries to take the kill is an old specimen (no white parts in it's plumage), while in the next shot the youngster is shown fighting another young eagle with whitish feathers.
Absolutely beautiful creatures. Amazing photography.
What a magnificent representative of life on earth are these golden eagles. Just gorgeous.

@matyaskassay4346 You think too much and know too little. It was filmed in the mountains of Norway.
A DOUBLE EAGLE

Great! Now I have something to look forward to watching.
Late January ;)
Hopefully when it comes here, they don't swap out Attenborough with someone else

Hey BBC, what is the name of the music used in this fragment? I can't seem to find it on the soundtrack!
Yeah i am curious as well :/
I believe it's from Langurs of Jodhpur
I believe Hans Zimmer writes and composes the music specifically for BBC Planet Earth so it is likely on their website
The narrator's voice is really something. What's his name??
David Attenborough. Look him up, he's a legend.
Thanks! He sure is!!
He's made so many nature documentaries!! It's incredible, right? And he's 90 years old... I can barely believe it.
amaizing
Anyone knows the song played during the fight?
Yep,i'd like to know as well.
Tony
For those curious, this song appears in that scene from episode 6 as well.
TameemTS it is an original score for the documentary composed by Hans Zimmer.
amazing!!!
DINOSAUR BATTLE!
Awesome
Badass✨
Gold eagle 🦅
I read in the newspaper today that there was a lot of cheating during the making of this movie.
"Cheating"?
Pinarron mixing of images, using trained animals etc
the only "cheating" I discovered in this episode(part 2: Mountains) was the PoV of the eagles flying. They used stunt gliders from Red Bull.
What's cheating in there? They didn't create the scenes, did they? They weren't animated.
Muhammad Ukasha some of the birds were trained
is that a dead fox?
yes they live in the snow as well
