I too was enraged by it, but I think I was being unfair, biased, and mixed up with my emotions that I calmed myself down so that I could sought out the reasons why they (NU) won. From what I have concurred, cheerdance has a rigid criteria because of that, they could not place points on UP's spectacular and creative routine; NU does have the most difficult set of stunts, tosses and tumbles compared to others that would result with the judges giving them high points; and lastly, based on the score sheets, UP is technically the "cleanest" routine due to 0 deductions, so I see no reason that the CDC this year is "luto" (I do not know what that term exactly means though.) I think some of them did the same, they analyzed why NU won and then moved on. Perhaps some of them did analyze it but still cannot accept it, their emotions and perceptions think that UST, FEU or UP should have won, they forgot to use their head for a moment. Emotions are what drove them to do that. There is a reason why the head is at the top than the heart. ;) #UTAKatPUSO
+Rebecca Hernandez You are openminded and that's what everyone expects from an iska (sorry I thought you were from Feu) and also I was really in awe during the performance of UP and I think they deserve a higher spot, i think they did better than UST and from my view point the scores are affected by the order of performances (psychologically speaking) anyways UP never fails to surprise everybody and that's how they got their many LOYAL supporters and when I say loyal, they really fight for what they want, as how their chant goes "UP FIGHT". And in NU's case I think they executed a routine not as perfect as they wanted it to be but it is as hard as what viewers are expected from them. The difficulty level of their routine is something that in a view of a non-UAAP student and for someone who really knows how cheerleading and cheerdance competition goes they presented a routine that cannot be done by any others teams in the UAAP.

Sa totoo lang maaaliw (eto na yung term na ginamit ko) ka sa lahat ng performances nung CDC, lalo na sa FEU, pero ang judging naman kase sa cheerdance or cheerleading eh hindi lang basta aliw factor, hindi sya dance contest, by skills ang scoring dyan. Kaya nakakatawa na isipin na luto ang UAAAP-CDC. Tumbling pass, partner stunts, tosses pa lang e napakalayo na ng NU. Kung hindi ka BIAS, naiintindihan mo ang cheerleading competitions o may alam ka sa cheerleading, mas pipiliin mo ang NU. Mahirap ipaliwanag pero siguro alam ng iba pang cheerleaders ang ibig kong sabihin. Siguro ganito na lang, walang cheerleader ang nasa level 6 ang hanggang RO-double BHS lang ang kayang gawin, maliban na lang kung magaling kang base. Retired cheerleader here BTW

Doing a 2-2-5 is the hardest pyramid in level 6. They can boost their scores by giving more difficulty in their mountings, transition and dismounts. By this, NU really did a great job! Im expecting this kind of pyramid this year, they may put it in the beginning of their routine kumbaga pasabog o pang gulat effect sa audience..

But maraming paraan para i-return ang isang favor, Hindi yung ganyan ang mahal ng tuition nila pero wala naman silang natutunan kahit isang manners man lang. You know what, the coach of NU pep squad is an alumni ni FEU and also part of the Pep squad too in her years before, sabi niya sa interview kahit kailan matalo o manalo ang team nila sa CDC never siyang nagsabi ng ganon. Alam ko magkakaiba ang tao, pero hindi nila alam ang buhay ng isang pep squad or athlete para hindi sila irespeto. If they think na mas deserving ang FEU kaysa sa NU, then don't blame it on the NU pep squad, they just do what they do for scholarship. The judge in CDC is a professional, kaya whatever the result is, we can't questioned them like that because they know more what is the criteria in CDC than us viewers only... Why they just accept the result and move on, My next year pa naman. sabi nga nila "WINNERS train, LOSER complaint."

I'm not siding with any school okay. Disclaimer lang. I'm not a dancer either so I don't know much about the technicalities. But from what I saw, NU did an AMAZING job during this halftime proving that they're good. Pero I watched the CDC and I thought na sana if their performance during CDC was as clean and perfect as this, wala naman na siguro makakapalag. The problem was, their CDC performance is not as good as this one. I guess ang inaangal lang nman (mostly by UP) is ano ba ang mas mabigat? Higher level of difficulty but poor execution? Or another high difficulty level (not as high though) but better execution?

Te, yung Raw Scores nila sa TUMBLINGS, TOSSES, STUNTS PYRAMIDS AND DANCE is mataas na. why, napanuod mo ba lahat ng competing teams? if not, watch mo ulet. Alam mo ba yung PHASING? yung ibang teams 8-12 counts ang phasing nila bago gumalaw. meaning mas may enough time sila para magrest or to make it simple for you, MABAGAL ang kilos nila. Sa NU po, 4 counts lang. try mo sa buong 6 minutes na 4 counts ang phasing kung di mo habulin ang hininga mo. Sa TUMBLINGS po, dun sila nilamon ng buo ng NU why? yung mga tumblings ng ibang pep, basic o kung may advance e iilan lang. sa NU lahat sila advance ang tumbling routine. sa TOSSES po, yung sa ibang pep level 4-5 and 2-3 yrs ago pa po nauso yung mga tosses na pinakita nila. sa NU po, LEVEL 6 po un lalong lalo na ung tosses nila after their last formed pyramid. sa STUNTS naman po, other teams, ang konti ng mga naiaangat nila sa ere, sa NU po, 10 ONE MAN etc. sa PYRAMID po, lahat ng schools 3 Pyramids lang ang naform, unlike sa NU 4 so kahit may di sila naform na isa, may 3 pa silang panlaban. and lastly sa dance, 2nd po sila sa UST. so kahit bawasan nio pa yung RAW SCORE nila na nkuha minus the PENALTY from the fall, and pyramid na di na form ay te, hindi talaga, Sila parin ang PANALO. o ayan, at kung feeling mo pa din ninakawan kayo ng oppotunidad na manalo, Try to reflect kung saan at ano kulang sa pinakita ng team/s mo/ninyo.

Yeah I know, I see a tweet from the FEU drummers and they said na before the game start between FEU and NU , na may surprise sila. But maraming paraan para i-return ang isang favor, Hindi yung ganyan ang mahal ng tuition nila pero wala naman silang natutunan kahit isang manners man lang. You know what, the coach of NU pep squad is an alumni ni FEU and also part of the Pep squad too in her years before, sabi niya sa interview kahit kailan matalo o manalo ang team nila sa CDC never siyang nagsabi ng ganon. Alam ko magkakaiba ang tao, pero hindi nila alam ang buhay ng isang pep squad or athlete para hindi sila irespeto.
If they think na mas deserving ang FEU kaysa sa NU, then don't blame it on the NU pep squad, they just do what they do for scholarship. The judge in CDC is a professional, kaya whatever the result is, we can't questioned them like that because they know more what is the criteria in CDC than us viewers only... Why they just accept the result and move on, My next year pa naman.

I'm not siding with any school okay. Disclaimer lang. I'm not a dancer either so I don't know much about the technicalities. But from what I saw, NU did an AMAZING job during this halftime proving that they're good. Pero I watched the CDC and I thought na sana if their performance during CDC was as clean and perfect as this, wala naman na siguro makakapalag. The problem was, their CDC performance is not as good as this one. I guess ang inaangal lang nman (mostly by UP) is ano ba ang mas mabigat? Higher level of difficulty but poor execution? Or another high difficulty level (not as high though) but better execution?

Te, yung Raw Scores nila sa TUMBLINGS, TOSSES, STUNTS PYRAMIDS AND DANCE is mataas na. why, napanuod mo ba lahat ng competing teams? if not, watch mo ulet. Alam mo ba yung PHASING? yung ibang teams 8-12 counts ang phasing nila bago gumalaw. meaning mas may enough time sila para magrest or to make it simple for you, MABAGAL ang kilos nila. Sa NU po, 4 counts lang. try mo sa buong 6 minutes na 4 counts ang phasing kung di mo habulin ang hininga mo. Sa TUMBLINGS po, dun sila nilamon ng buo ng NU why? yung mga tumblings ng ibang pep, basic o kung may advance e iilan lang. sa NU lahat sila advance ang tumbling routine. sa TOSSES po, yung sa ibang pep level 4-5 and 2-3 yrs ago pa po nauso yung mga tosses na pinakita nila. sa NU po, LEVEL 6 po un lalong lalo na ung tosses nila after their last formed pyramid. sa STUNTS naman po, other teams, ang konti ng mga naiaangat nila sa ere, sa NU po, 10 ONE MAN etc. sa PYRAMID po, lahat ng schools 3 Pyramids lang ang naform, unlike sa NU 4 so kahit may di sila naform na isa, may 3 pa silang panlaban. and lastly sa dance, 2nd po sila sa UST. so kahit bawasan nio pa yung RAW SCORE nila na nkuha minus the PENALTY from the fall, and pyramid na di na form ay te, hindi talaga, Sila parin ang PANALO. o ayan, at kung feeling mo pa din ninakawan kayo ng oppotunidad na manalo, Try to reflect kung saan at ano kulang sa pinakita ng team/s mo/ninyo.
