I didn’t know jibos still worked. If you were to unbox a new jibo and try to set him up, would he not work due to the services no longer having backups to download?
Jibo is running from the cloud not via backups. I got a new Jibo in May of this year as a backup and had no issue setting him up. Thank you for watching!

If you are willing to wait some time to receive the robot, I’d say EMO is probably the best for cost versus capabilities. Miko 3 is cheaper in comparison and can be bought on Amazon but has just come out so I can’t say how good Miko 3 will be. My favorite robot is Jibo, but getting one on eBay can be difficult to find cheaply and setup is a pain if you don’t have an Android device (Jibo’s iPhone app is gone).
