I imagine the developers looking at the ''Greater Demon'' and saying ''Damn, the final design of this Boss is too good to be a regular enemy, we should give him a story and a deeper context.'' It's like when you create something for a purpose but you end up liking the design so much that if or if you should put it in a more relevant place, the source code reveals that in the fight with Malenia, Miquella originally had dialogues during her sister's phase change - "My dear twin, accept this gift "A gift of abundance, my last drop of dew. Let all things flourish, whether graceful, or malignant." So Mogh and his entire story and context were added very late in the development of the game to the point that just to add Mohg and his story they had to throw out a lot of things that were already programmed and ready. I have no doubt that the developers at some point looked at the Greater Demon model and thought it was so good that they ended up turning it into the Mohg that we all know.

I think all things combined just turned him absolutely irredeemably wicked.

I let my mom (who’s a music major) give a listen to this. Eerily enough, she described this piece as : “Dark, elegant, royal. As if I was unwillingly embroiled in a duet with a mastermind.” Never thought someone would describe my fight with this huge bastard a “duet” lmao
you should let her listen to Bloodborne's soundtrack. A far more impressive selection of tracks than what Elden Ring has to offer. Ludwig, the Holy Blade is probably the best track in the game imo

His weakness is a trap. He gets a damage/defense buff if bleed occurs anywhere near him, this applies to you, any and all summons near him, and himself.
I mean, you basically are. Mohg is considered the epitome of evil in Elden Ring lore, his blood magic is quite literally fueled by the outer gods, as he just slashes into their bodies to steal blood from and weaponize. He has no reason to be evil, he literally just is.

He was born an omen like his twin Morgott, and his shackle description says that he was confined (possibly on the sewers of Leyndell with the rest of the omen). Because of this, I believe that it could be that Mogh grew resentful of the Golden Order and that's why he's trying to usher an age of blood with Miquella as his puppet.
