Is Deathmatch R1 really better than R5 white Tassel?, i tried using them under similar conditions and white tassel performs better sometimes slightly sometimes significantly, R1 deathmatch however provides a scope for a crit dmg circlet
Well, I'm not gonna say "better", I guess it depends on your build as well. I'm not really the best when it comes to comparison, but based on my experience, I prefer Deathmatch. Perhaps due to higher crit rate that's why my damage is higher when i use it because of course, crit is triggered more often.
To sum it up basically both weapons are good and perform ideally under their favorable conditions, so if you have r5 white tassel and planning to buy battle pass just for r1 deathmatch, then it isn't a bargain worth your money, 10 usd for a weapon that performs similar to its f2p counterpart isn't worth it and instead you can buy 2 welkins, however if you have budget and you can spend around 30-50 usd and get deathmatch to r3-r5 then you might see the difference, but my opinion will be stick with r5 white tassel if you have it, if not then you may look upto deathmatch. R5 White Tassel is decent enough for me. Battle Pass is recommended overall but definitely not necessary.

Agreed, in terms of crit it has an edge over tassel and it also provides you a choice to go with crit dmg circlet instead of crit rate

Deathmatch! Because of course, it's a 4* and gives more atk and crit rate. But White Tassle is a decent choice too, especially for f2ps
