as a fellow equestrian, i understand the worry of your horse being lame or not being able to be ridden. It’s honestly petrifying. I’m so glad it’s nothing too serious like colic, or ulcers. i’m so glad you were able to get onto the reason of him being ‘naughty’ and i can tell, he’s so well looked after!! 💗💗

Have you thought about getting a bridle fitter out? They try all sorts of different shaped anatomical headpieces, browbands etc and recommend the one/ones that fit your horse's conformation best and not interfering with important/sensitive parts of the face such as the TMJ. I had a consultation for my horse and learnt she has a large ear muscle and narrow poll so the shape of the headpiece needed to be cut back enough not to interfere with her ear rotation and be narrow enough to fit between her ears.
