Man, I've had this TV for about 2 weeks. It's just extraordinary. And that's coming from someone who has owned top-notch plasmas for over 20 years. Not only is it superb in reproducing 4k content but the upscaling of 1080i programming is outstanding. I've not done any calibrating but just chose the "Movie" preset. I'm awestruck every freaking time I turn it on. Your observations are not hyperbole and are spot on.

Massive thanks Quantum, your videos helped me get my Q8FN. As someone who has the Q8FN, and missed out on the S95 B, is the S90D the best option ? I’m willing to sacrifice the brightness for the color vibrancy and detail.
@@ExecuteOrder66Jack damn, yeah I have the C4 and not quite satisfied with the gaming. It does clean up sub-4k content well so like performance mode on PS5 looks sharp but it lacks brightness in colors. How is the sharpness on it?
Just turn off auto updates off in the settings. And you will no longer get Samsung auto updates for your TV. I have just purchased this TV and I agree with you. It’s awesome. I have just turned off automatic updates on my TV after seeing this video thanks for that mate.
hey, can you explain a bit more about the ABL of this TV? Im about to buy it, but i've heard its too agressive. Is it noticable in real content? Does it get turned on frequently? Or is it only about very long lasting very bright scenes? Its the only thing that makes me hesitant. thank you

If there is a subscription fee to get these settings I’d gladly pay 2- I’m having 2 problems, sometimes a flicker happens and sometimes the motion seems to get wrong for a fraction of a second it’s like when you watch a movie on a very old pc, and it’s not powerful enough so it skips a frame or stutters.. do you know of any fixes to these problems?

Photoluminescent water and accurate colors are two different things. I have never bought a Samsung TVs because grass, on say a football field or golf course looks like it is green plastic. But I watch your reviews and you make a strong point for the s95b over the a95k. So, is this TV as good as the g4 or just Samsung's best effort to date. And, thanks for your reviews
I just bought the 48 inch. The colors are punchy saturated, which I love, and that's the. Reason I bought it, but it could be a little bit brighter to be honest other than dads.I'm not regretting it

Hey I’m trying to decide between 48 inch S90D & the 50 inch QN90D both around £1300 I’ll mostly be using it for PS5, Switch gaming & watching movies I’m aware of the Woled/QD-OLED situation but I’m still wondering wether the S90D or QN90D is better for me.
I went for S90d and the gaming is amazing on it! The contrast is insane. The only problem I’ve had is on some internal apps for streaming sports but I think that’s more the problem with the app than the tv.

Heard that the S90D had been known to have circuit board issues after a few months and requiring a circuit board panel replacement. Is that really true and is there a fix? Its pretty much plastered all over the recent reviews on Samsungs website. I sincerely hope not!

In case no one is aware, DON’T get the 83in S90D. Samsung is using a WOLED panel on that size and not telling anyone. As well as a few other sizes. I purchased the 77” S90D today and it’s AMAZING. Just be careful with what size you get. Do your research on the panel it has.
How bright does it hit? Last week my room got first hit of SPRING sunlight , was not even that hot but room well lit. 😂My 1800 nit tv went --100% backlight full tilt, Black Level went from 19%to 80% , n still TOO DIM!!!!!!!😂 I had Ah Ha moment of “I NEED 3000 nits!”😂😅
Great tv I agree, I just got the 89c two months ago and I imagine the 89/90c is about 75 percent of what the 90d is. I do not update firmware since I got hosed in the past with Samsung. I tested this on the 89c, it was amazing unboxing it, but after firmware it got gimped. My old mini led Samsung did the same thing. The first 8550c 4k I had did the same thing. Never connect it online. lol. Anyway, I got another 89c to replace it due to the original one install was messed up and cracked the tv. It’s back to what it was.
I just got this tv only because the Best Buy guy recommended over the LGG4. I went to the store decided on the LGG4 but I already connected the Samsung S90D to the internet and updated the software. Can I undo this?

Samsung has a color space called normal. This removes all oversaturation from football fields, and everything else in general. Samsung delivered.

If I remember correctly, the original firmware is 10. something… the 11 and 12 are the other firmware versions that came out already.

No actually up to the 77 the s90d/c are qdoled, it’s only the 83 inch models that are woled

Heard that the S90D had been known to have circuit board issues after a few months and requiring a circuit board panel replacement. Is that really true and is there a fix? Its pretty much plastered all over the recent reviews on Samsungs website. I sincerely hope not!

In case no one is aware, DON’T get the 83in S90D. Samsung is using a WOLED panel on that size and not telling anyone. As well as a few other sizes. I purchased the 77” S90D today and it’s AMAZING. Just be careful with what size you get. Do your research on the panel it has.

How bright does it hit? Last week my room got first hit of SPRING sunlight , was not even that hot but room well lit. 😂My 1800 nit tv went --100% backlight full tilt, Black Level went from 19%to 80% , n still TOO DIM!!!!!!!😂 I had Ah Ha moment of “I NEED 3000 nits!”😂😅
Great tv I agree, I just got the 89c two months ago and I imagine the 89/90c is about 75 percent of what the 90d is. I do not update firmware since I got hosed in the past with Samsung. I tested this on the 89c, it was amazing unboxing it, but after firmware it got gimped. My old mini led Samsung did the same thing. The first 8550c 4k I had did the same thing. Never connect it online. lol. Anyway, I got another 89c to replace it due to the original one install was messed up and cracked the tv. It’s back to what it was.

I just got this tv only because the Best Buy guy recommended over the LGG4. I went to the store decided on the LGG4 but I already connected the Samsung S90D to the internet and updated the software. Can I undo this?
Unfortunately nope… only way to do it means cracking into your sets board and replacing the IEEE PROM chipset. And that will void your warranty.
