We have a2004 Audi. I was looking over my scheduled maintenance and realized the last time I took my car to Audi it was essentially a $425 glorified oil change. I’m approaching 70k and realize spark plugs will be next. Figure I can do the oil and plugs on my own next time - thanks to your video!!!
I will be much more consistent, been having school in the way Thank you for ALWAYS liking, sharing and being subscribed to the channel MrCarMAN! I really appreciate it
Hi Tony, these engines are pretty reliable besides that carbon issue which requires carbon cleaning (taking off the top head of engine). But the later years after 2011, this problem was fixed Power wise, its plenty and there really isnt any turbo lag. I have had no issues with daily driving it
Procedures were very straight forward, however, all those electrical connections were very difficult to disconnect and I ended up breaking the plastic protector on the wires. The coils were very difficult to pull out.
I cant seem to pull all the little gray tabs to get those 8 plugs out. I dont know what theyre called. It looked easy when you did it though lol. Any tips or tricks to get these loose?
Hi Shaunta, yes I had trouble with a couple of them. If they are too tight then best way to unlock is use a thin flat head screwdriver to pull that “gray tab” up. Once unlocked, the plug will pull out
Someone took them off while the car was unattended SMH haha Thank you and I will wash it soon hehe Thank you for ALWAYS liking, sharing and being subscribed to the channel MrCarMAN! I really appreciate it
I recently got a 2008 Audi A6 3.2 s line is there anywhere I can find information as far as what services are due at what miles Etc I know I have to change the oil now and it's at 73,000 I don't know when I'm supposed to do the plugs? Is that something I can look at the car computer and it will tell me? This is all very new to me I would appreciate any and all help. Or if anyone knows a good form?
Hi Johnny, first of all congrats on the Audi!! As far as service, the only thing your car will warn you about is the oil service. Spark plugs won’t be displayed on ur car computer. But I like to change my spark plugs every 50k miles on my car
But when I buy any used car, I always recommend to do the maintenance before driving. So change the fluids, check brakes, check coils and spark plugs. This way u have a clean start and u have a base line of when to start maintenance from
Hi Chris, imo it’s not really required on modern spark plugs and engines. I’ve replaced spark plugs without antiseize on them and they came out very easily

How’s the reliability of these 2.0 motors? I here that it has the carbon issue? And does it have enough power for like overtaking??
Hi Tony, these engines are pretty reliable besides that carbon issue which requires carbon cleaning (taking off the top head of engine). But the later years after 2011, this problem was fixed

Hi Diezy, no I have not had that engine light on my audi
Procedures were very straight forward, however, all those electrical connections were very difficult to disconnect and I ended up breaking the plastic protector on the wires. The coils were very difficult to pull out.

Unlocking the tabs is what you said...how do you unlock them?

@@MrCARman Thank you not only for the video, but for the response back and advice 😊
What are the cylinder numbers ? Like in order? Does it start from the inside of the engine? just wondering
Hi Wheelo, it goes from 1 towards front of engine (grill side) to 4 towards windshield side
Where’s the wheel caps?😱😱 I like this Audi, so elegant
(Give it a wash tho)😅

No neverseeze on spark plug threads?

Thanks but can you do a video on the water pump.
Hi Pamela, yes if it goes bad I will. Right now my water pump is working completely fine
This may be a dumb question but those plugs came set?
Yes they are pre-gapped, ready to install right out of the box
Thank you for subscribing to the channel and sharing this video with others🙏🏼
I may have missed it but i didn't hear anything about gapping?
Thanks

YES!
I love that you used anti seize…… oh wait, you didn’t.
Its actually not recommended to use on these modern engine vehicles
I done this without bothering all those small plugs
How do you do that? The space is really tight and I have problems disconnect those small plugs.
