Hi Steve. I have no issue setting up flight modes 0,1 and 2. What I need is a "fourth" flight mode. I created FM4 in flight modes. I assigned a two-position switch to it. Then I went into my mixers, aileron and elevators. I made sure FM 4 was enabled. I also made sure in the "trims" menu that I have made sure independent trims is enabled on each flight control. What is not happening is that FM 4 is not enabled on the main screen. What steps have I missed? thanks
Hi - good video, but I also have the problem someone had below where when I edit a flight mode, all I get presented with is 'Active condition', 'Fade in' and 'Fade out' options. I have set all of the trims to 'Independent trims per flight mode', but no trim setting options appear. I think I have the latest version of Ethos running, as this was installed by the supplier I bought my FrSKY X18 from. Anyone any ideas?
Hi - found the solution! On Ethos 1.5.x the trim settings don't appear in the flight mode definition, they are adjusted using the trim sliders in each of the flight modes where you want the trims to be flight mode dependant.
I got into EthOS after EdgeTX, and in some aspects it is much better. In other aspects, there is room for improvement. For instance, I'd like to be able to configure mixes a little quicker. I love the depth available, but if I'm simply assigning a switch to operate a channel at face value, the time it takes is too long.
Hi steve at FrSky I need your help please. When I'm in helicopter flight modes I use flight mode Normal Then have flight mode 1 ....flight mode 2 ... then flight mode 3 I can operate from Normal switch SE (up) to SE - middle( flight mode 1)then SE down ( flight mode 2) position but when I select flight mode 3 switch SB middle position it doesnt follow on it won't function until you put SE switch to normal then flight mode 3 works this is not correct I need Normal Flight 1 Flight 2 Flight 3 Throttle hold The switches need to follow on from each other but I am having difficulty in doing this can you guide me through how 🤔 to make my switches follow each other in this order
You didn't mention the killer feature of flight modes in EthOS - you can reorder them! This was such an annoyance in OpenTX, if you wanted to add a high priority flight mode to an existing model you had to rename them one by one and then update all of your mixes, logic switches and special functions.
Fantastic video! Thank you so much. As a newbie DLG pilot this helped a ton 🙌🏻

4:30 on my ETHOS version I dont see these separator trimm settings in flight modra menu. Why is that?
Did you turn on independent trims per flight mode (above)? You have to turn them on for Aileron, Rudder and Elevator
@@steveschlesinger3459 I have fixed it, I had old firmware version :) Thank you

EthOS Suite model configuration would be a quick fix.
