Fantastic episode, great work Richard. Sarah Kendall is a good comedian and it is clear to see that you get on well, I think you got the balance spot on in this podcast and really created a naturally funny, flowing conversation. Thank you for continuing to deliver consistently good content, and thank you for keeping it free.
Absolutely brilliant chat. This didn't feel like an interview at all, just the kind of conversation I'd have with my friends, but funnier. Glad that we were allowed to listen in on it.
That was really good fun. Laughed a lot. Felt like two mates chatting, but being very funny with it. One of the best. Didn't know Sarah Kendall at all, call myself a comedy geek, although have checked her out on youtube now and she's excellent! Hopefully catch her live sometime soon. Well played, Richard and Sarah.
You REALLY should have her on more often(or even do a special side small podcast series with just you two)! She is so brilliant. I love her anyway and was really jazzed to hear that she was going to be on. You guys have great comedic chemistry. I'd love to see you two work together more!
Sarah, if you're ever reading these comments feel free to talk to me about Beehive. I absolutely LOVED it! And have watched it through on E4 about 10 times now. My favourite bits include the 'beg pardon' during the Russel Brands bit. And the kicking the doll/baby bit.
Listened to the pod version of this when first uploaded but now watching this on tv with my wife as the brilliant SK is following in Rich’s steps in appearing, and so far winning, Taskmaster. Get well soon Rich. Hope to see you on tour again sometime soon
Great show loved Sarah going to check her out some more. Speaking of things that aren't as good as they used to be Pataks have a "New and improved" Lime pickle. They have taken out the limes, spices and you know the taste. Got really depressed the first time I ate it because I had been looking forward to the spicy, tangy, kick all day long and hadn't realised they'd changed it. It really is one of things they must have made blander to appeal to a wider market. At least the Chilli pickle is still amazing. Wow that felt good to get off my chest, its nice to have a safe place like this to say such things, I wouldn't dare tweet something so controversial.
My mum wanted some like pickle and I bought the pataks (most expensive) opened it and thought what the hell is this. Should have stuck to Ahmeds. Yes I do think they where trying to appeal to a blander audience
Patak Lime Pickle update: They have gone back to the original recipe! Look for the jars that say "Original Recipe" Truly the internet can change the world.
Loved it. One of my favourites so far. Can you both get some dates in Glasgow on your next tours? I appreciate and understand any reluctance to that but thought I'd ask
Great host, great guest, some shitty commenters. I'm working my way through the RHLSTP back catalogue and now I have a face to put to Libby from Clare in the Community. For all of the trivia buffs whose ears pricked up on hearing (1:00:12) that Jim Morrison was Australian - well, yes, he was from Melbourne... Melbourne, Florida.
Regarding the man at the childbirth thing, I have my own experience to share from my 1st child's birth. She was my wife's 3rd child. Having had 2 kids from her 1st marriage. My (now ex) wife insisted on no cutting, and nothing but gas & air. I'll give her credit in being a tough old bird when popping kids out lol. Well.. Of course, the daughter came out at 9 lbs. I wouldn't say screaming as much as just REALLY pissed off at being dragged out of a perfectly comfortable womb. By the time the nurse was putting the blanket on her and putting her in the cot thing, it was like looking at a reflection of my own younger face. Almost 18 years later she still looks so much like me lol. Born at 7-pm. The nurse came into the room at 9-pm saying she was just arranging a place on the ward for the night for my wife etc. By which time my wife was coming out of the en-suite shower room getting dressed after a shower, as I finished packing up our bits and pieces. Informing nursey that we were off home [Thank You] very much. Back home with baby by 10-pm. Tucked up in bed asleep by midnight. New baby in cot next to us.
An elephant would never smoke a stogie. It would be more likely to smoke a pipe. For aesthetic reasons mainly, 'probably wouldn't even light it half the time.
It's funny that Richard assumes everyone responding to his tweet didn't realize it was joke, without stopping think that maybe they were also joking? If they're stupid for not realizing his tweet was a joke...
Beehive is one of my fave sketch shows in recent years with great writing & performances from all the girls, I thought it was going to be the next Smack The Pony... but no series 2 :( Sarah played a fantastic Elizabeth I opposite Jack Whitehall & "Speshul Robot" cracks me up. Channel 4 being as crap as they are didn't promote the show at all - bunch of idiots.
I remember Bee Hive, it wasn't great but it wasn't shit. She was a good guest, I like how she kept talking about edit point clearly unaware that this crap barely gets edited.
I love Sarah Kendall, her Australian Trilogy radio series is a masterpiece and her live shows are a real pleasure to see.
Trilogy. Is that a three episodes. Cause I watched 3 here on YT but wonder and hope if there are more

Best one of the series, I'd never heard of the guest until now but am hugely impressed with how funny she is.

Just listened to this one again. Must be one of the best.

Sarah Kendall is one of the comedians that I recommend people to see, when they say that women aren't funny.
I love this show. It's introduced me to so many hilarious women I've never come across before. Herring da man

Sarah’s a brilliant story teller.
How dare you have a guest I've never heard of !! She was brilliant, how have I missed her til now ? Go figure.
The first time two Taskmaster champions have shared the stage on RHLSTP!
EDIT: Wait, this is an old episode... ignore me :P
I was offended by one single "that's about me!" joke in a recent Doug Stanhope show. It was the healthiest thing to happen all night ;)
So you know I'm a TH-cam commenter and i love your interviews my favourite channel on youtube, hope that helps your ego mate

+Wombat JO I used to get cravings for the taste and on occasion have Eaten Pataks lime Pickle with a teaspoon.
+Craig Mather fukin hell, what is this country coming to.
My mum wanted some like pickle and I bought the pataks (most expensive) opened it and thought what the hell is this. Should have stuck to Ahmeds. Yes I do think they where trying to appeal to a blander audience
Patak Lime Pickle update: They have gone back to the original recipe! Look for the jars that say "Original Recipe" Truly the internet can change the world.
yes! pataks have ruined lime pickle. they've stuffed a whole load more sugar in the jars! utter rubbish now. ....and the shows great!
Loved it. One of my favourites so far. Can you both get some dates in Glasgow on your next tours? I appreciate and understand any reluctance to that but thought I'd ask
"Is sex with a ghost cheating?"...
Depends if it results in a phantom pregnancy.
"Nicole Kidman impersonator" LOL!
it always annoys me in Back to the Future III that it never occurred to them they have access to two DeLoreans.
This was awesome , looking forward to E izzard too

Her description of childbirth is hilarious.
Wait for these every week......
I love that I can't tell if the Jim Morrison joke was just that or if Sarah knows he was born in a town called Melbourne. It works all over.

They must've made that nuclear warfare public service announcement between takes of Short Circuit.
30:40..reference to testicular cancer (in elephants)..message from your subconscious Richard??!
very good

I loved bee hive.
I am the 50th to comment. Congratulations to me.
I saw air Afrikaans...

+brickscratch yeah it was great! One of the cutest smallest sketch-show I've laughed so hard at some of the bizarre performances! )
she was funny
Jim Morrison was born in Melbourne FLORIDA, Not Melbourne Victoria. OK thx bai.
Good show but Jim Morrison came from Melbourne FLORIDA not Australia :)
She looks like my history teacher and sound like her, the age range is correct hmmmm
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~bobble~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I like these interviews but I don't like Richard Herring he's not funny
Yeah that's fine, fair enough
I remember Bee Hive, it wasn't great but it wasn't shit. She was a good guest, I like how she kept talking about edit point clearly unaware that this crap barely gets edited.
Nicole Kidman's let herself go.
