Gunung Datuk is the highest peak in the Rembau district, Negeri Sembilan, with a height of 885 meters. It is a popular destination for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers, as there are beautiful sightings of many natural tropical rainforest treasures and the magnificent view that awaits those who reach the top.
The hike up includes rocky and steep routes, making it slightly challenging. There will, however, be knotted ropes available to assist you. Moving forward, there will be steel ladders for you to climb up the massive boulders that will bring you to the top of the mountain. At the peak, there is a footstep-shaped impression in one of the boulders that is said to have been made by the legendary Malaysian hero, Hang Tuah, so keep an eye for that!
