Every round, there’s a topic card thats in the middle. The topic can be like music or sports. On that card is a grid of numbers and letter, on each section is a category of the big topic. You can refer to the beginning to the video to see. So, the non-chameleons have a card that have numbers and letters on them that relate to a coordinate like A5. Which is a place on the topic grid. The chameleon just has a card that says they are the chameleon. Every round, the dice are rolled. The non-chameleons look at the number the dice landed on and look for the coordinate like A5 that relate to the number on the dice. So if 3 is rolled and 3 is next to A5 on their card, they will look for A5 on the topic card. Let’s say the topic is sports and on A5, it says soccer. The chameleon doesn’t know anything because they don’t have the card with numbers. The non-chameleons say a word that give a hint that they know that the answer is soccer. So like “foot” or “goal”. The chameleon has to blend and pretend to know that the answer is soccer. But the non-chameleons don’t wanna say really obvious words. If they say words like “kick”, “goalie”, or “foot” and it’s the chameleon’s turn, they will obviously know the answer and pick a word relating to soccer to blend in. At the end of the round they vote on a suspicious person that is the chameleon that maybe gave an odd word. Sometimes the chameleon is force to guess a word and it might be way off. Like if the answer is soccer and they say “bat”, players will vote them up because a bat has nothing to do with soccer. If the chameleon gets away without being voted on, they get a point. If not, the non-chameleons get a point.

The game would have been so much easier to follow and play along if they showed the topic card. I just stopped watching the video because it just felt like they were spitting out random gibberish. In fact, they could simply add a link in the description that takes us to pictures of the cards used for each round and it would make the video exponentially better.

Everyone knows the topic, but the chameleon doesn't know the answer to the topic. If you know the answers, you can try to guess the chameleon:

Answer: Queen.

One part I didn’t get: don’t they choose the topic by rolling the dice ? Because it looked like everyone (including chameleon) could see what the dice was. And the card was just placed in the middle of the table with the dice next to it. doesn’t that mean chameleon knew the topic ?
Carmen Kiwibear Kinda late but they each got cards that told them what the dice roll meant/ what the answer was. The chameleon, however, got a card that only said “you are the chameleon”. The topic card only told them the answers in that category, not the actual answer.

If they vote correctly, the chameleon has one chance to escape if he/she can correctly guess the answer off the topic card.

The game was really confusing to understand but I get it now. You guys should show the die roll and then show the topic to viewers. So that it is easier to follow

I feel like you guys aren’t appreciating their hard work just because they didn’t put the topic, but they did, turn on subtitles and when they start a new around it will say. They put hard work into subtitles but none of you are acknowledging it. It’s ok if you didn’t know but, make sure you justify your point until you say it.

I think I get it! So each person (except the chameleon) has an identical card that has all the different dice combos on it. Each dice combo corresponds with a box on the topic card. So if the dice combination rolled matches with the box A1 on the players' cards, then the topic of the round is the word in the A1 box on the topic card. So all the players know the topic word for the round except the chameleon. Then every player has to say something that relates to the topic, and the chameleon has to try to go along with the others and make it look like they know the topic word. Once they all say their words, each person points at who they think the chameleon is.
