About the person who lends the voice is not the same that gave voice to the Link. Akira Sasanuma made Link's voice. Dillon has the voice of Taro Kudo, one of the members and founders of Vanpool (and I made a point of looking at Smash credits and saw the name Taro Kudo as voice actor).

me, an intellectual: Dead-Heat Breakers is important because for awhile it seemed like The Last Ranger was going to be the final entry in the series, which makes the fact that DHB exists both surprising and pleasant. Considering that the second game did a great job at refining the first game's idea and mechanics while adding its own unique features, it will be interesting to see how well the new direction DHB seems to be taking is executed.

The Dillon franchise would make a great MOBA. Looking for mines to get upgrades, picking up scruffles to improve your town, putting down towers to defend the lanes from each sides' Grocks, and some great character variety and abilities. You could have other modes with the train mechanic (like Payload), and multiple maps; you could even balance the maps somewhat by having ruins only certain characters can get into (ie. characters who don't do well on the map otherwise) and bounties you can claim if you beat them (ie. having a teammate character who does well on the map rewards the other side if they go down).

BroadwayBrittany I definitely say give it a try, they’re pretty fun games.
I skip the 1st one it's just 10 stages & a Postgame boss for a $100,000 pay wall. The levels in 1st game are locked by a feat wall of stars that you need to proceed, if too low you'll have to replay levels for higher rank. The Last Ranger makes the 1st game look like a tech demo with a more thought out story & more stages.
There's a demo, go try it! I'm having a blast with it.

I know it's, well, a DEMO, but there could've been ATLEAST one more stage (Preferably, one to learn the traditional Dillon combat) in the demo to make it somewhat more worth it.
Also, if I can be honest, the Mii system seems pretty awful, so far.
Not only do the "Amiimals" (Yep, that's what they actually called them) mostly fall under the uncanny valley, but you can't choose which one you like yourself (And from what I can gather, you can only "select" 4 animals). Instead, you have to decline the animal you don't want to be, get trapped in a barrel, press A multiple times until you're freed from the barrel, and go through the whole cycle again until you find an animal that you like.
That being said, one thing that is definitely improved upon from the previous 2 Dillon games is that they finally done away with the touch controls in favor of more traditional button controls.
Now I REALLY hope they completely drop that godforsaken star system from the previous 2 games (Seriously, I couldn't get to the final area in the first game because I didn't have enough stars. Atleast the sequel has the option to let you buy stars, though).
There are 8 animals: Wolf, Fox, Bear, Cat, Tiger, Duck, Mouse and Bunny
The stars are still a thing but they aren't for progression (pretty sure this was the case for the last ranger as well).
Stars are awarded on the 2nd playthrough for a stage and unlockables range from concept art for NPCs and Grocks, and a cutscene viewer. I haven't unlocked everything just yet, but there's more in the gallery to unlock that I haven't gotten to yet.
