Thanks for covering this in a positive light. I've seen so much from the online apologetics community be negative towards what's happening at Asbury or just ignore it. I attended the Brownsville Revival back in 2000 and was positively impacted by it and haven't seen anything quite like it until now. I hope it continues and spreads.
I agree. It's been downright disturbing seeing some of the negative reactions and unjustified assumptions from many content creators I follow--some of whom I will no longer be following.
There are many tares/weeds among the wheat. We should not be surprised for God to do something that shows who are the WHEAT and the TARES. Matthew 13:24-30
Thanks so much! This is one of the only complete discussions I've seen with an Asbury student regarding the "encounter" at the University. I appreciate how significant it is. I am also concerned about the ongoing emotional support and needs the students may have to be addressed by Asbury. I sincerely hope this (as well as the safety and security of the campus) is a priority in the coming months.
Praise God, she can sing. Her piece one day with 1 other was moving, I think it was Saturday the 11th, not sure. And she sung so beautifully, Holy Spirit led and heart felt. Come rest on us. God bless her; Hope she sees this compliment.
Great interview. Loved hearing Lena's experience and that she has said an encounter with God. We were so blessed to have a member of our church from UK be on an American road trip while Asbury was happening and actually popped by. Blessings. ❤️🌹🙏
I'm not gonna lie, its pretty crazy to have been watching you get that B-role and then see what you turned it into. I was never someone who knew anything about cameras, but I always thought that it would be more difficult to capture such cool footage but you made it look so easy when you were capturing it haha. You're like a wizard with the camera. Excuse me, I should have said you're like a Magi with the camera.
This young woman is such a blessing to listen to! 🥰 She brings back confidence that all is not lost in their generation. It s such a pleasure to hear her faith and love for Christ! OMG, the few lost kids are so wild and confused and loud that we don t see these beautiful wise and based kids. God bless our young generations and lead them not into temptation but deliver them from evil. Amen 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
It has been very disappointing at some of the negative comments. I am absolutely thrilled that God loves this generation and is touching them in this special way. I am praying that it will also touch that same generation here in Australia. It doesn't matter what it is called. Doesn't have to meet our criteria or agenda.
@Busy Bee Farms I didn't say there's anything wrong with that. I'm just trending that it's a bit jarring for people outside of that context to have to parse the unique jargon/inside language. E.g., the term "heart posture" means nothing to the vast majority of people but is immediately understood by people who share that particular cultural context. I was just remarking on how often I felt I had to use context clues to infer the meaning of what she was saying.
Sorry, this woman isn't a credible source. She said she was born in 2001 AND she said that she's a senior in college. People born in the 2000s are still like 5. This is the hill that I will die on. So, your guest is not credible. Sorry but I don't make the rules.
@@Nontradicath I suppose if you were talking about Feb 29th you could make that work in today's public schools. I did not hear her say she was born on leap day.
Not sure what I make of these ‘revivals’. We live in such a messed up world so why no ‘revival’ or miracles in Ukraine? Let’s put all that aside. Maybe it’s best to see what the fruits of this will be? I suspect genuine revivals aren’t really for the benefit of the attendees, rather the world around it? In any case, I wish everyone well and will be the first to admit my opinions and suspicions count for very little.
I appreciate her story and being so open at sharing. I do wonder though: *How did God show up in a new way?* I would like to know the specifics and what convinces them it's their God.
Don’t get caught up in the language, it’s just the way young people speak. She is not speaking in a philosophical, debate, or apologetics context. It’s a testimony. What she basically means is that they didn’t want it to be just another chapel service for the sake of protocol or routine.

How can I know Jesus is God? What distinguishes God from man? And how can I know a random man claiming to be God isn’t God and doesnt have a human and divine nature like we say Jesus does? Is every man potentially God? These are questions I was asked recently and I would like input please
Great question! If Jesus was God then he died and rose back to life, therefore proving what he said about himself. However, if he WASN'T God then he didn't die and rise back to life. So look into the evidence for Christ's resurrection. The other thing to be aware of is Jesus can NEVER be JUST a good moral teacher. A lot of people say he wasn't God but was a good moral teacher who was killed. But he can't have said the things he said (I am God) and convince other people he was God and be just a good moral teacher. He was either crazy. Or a liar. Or he was telling the truth and actually WAS the son of God. Really important to remember that. A lot of people say he can just be a good moral teacher but that's just not the case.
Why do people insist on saying aksing instead of asking? They are so false and they are perfectly capable of speaking correctly but they obviously feel that they are being cool or street and ghetto but they just sound silly

"Experiencing God in a new way." God doesn't change, we do. If you want to see God, read your Scripture and study it.

The 1970 Asbury Revival began on February 3. The 2023 one began on February 8, so pretty close.
Thank you for this interview. Can you cover other interviews of students who were there when the revival broke out..
