Next, they say since it's a foreign payment, you need to pay tax to receive it. Luckily, I didn't pay anything and realized it was a scam!

I got a similar call on Ganesh Chathurti day morning at 9 am. I was getting ready to go to work. Got an IVR call from saying it is from India Post and to press 1 for more details about my parcel. I pressed 1 . One lady spoke then she transferred call to one guy, who said I have sent some parcel to a terrorist organisation and they have my Aadhar card details. I already know about this scam, so I belted him left and right. After that no one called me. He started abusing in Hindi with Marathi slang and cut the call.

Sir, if they have one of our id it can be ignored but if they have our bank account number, pan card. Aachar id, all these informations uf can be collected, it must have been leaked from the bank. There should also be an investigation at the bank of the accout holders who got scammed. If investigation can be done may be they can find out if its from a particular bank, then it can be prevented in the future. Govt has asked us to link aadhar pan card with bank account, but it has convenient for the spammers. This is not only happening in India, its happening everywhere.

hi sir, I received call very similar to Trai scam. I got a call from a proper number (not a service number). Its a IVR regarding illegal transaction done on my Credit card and press 9 to proceed. I immediately disconnected the call and updated my Personal banker. Bank confirmed there were no such transaction done under my CC. I added the number in True caller as Fraud to alert others.

My sister lost 5k in gpay OTP for some courier...at the same time she was expecting some courier of govt. Id card... They asked to pay only 3rs by clicking their gpay link .... After payment, amount started to deduct automatically from her account like 200, 1000, 2000, 3000, 5000 .... Few deducted amount was credited back automatically but 5K was lost...she immediately blocked the bank account and informed bank also.
It happened during COVID period
What is government doing it . Amount is transferred to some other account it can be easily tracked
Easily tracked but no one is willing to return your money back. I lost 7 lakhs i reported in cybercrime and got msg from cybercrime 2 lalkhs have been freezed but asked me to contact local police , local police asked me to apply petition from court through advocate , i did all that were asked still i havent got my money 😢

Yesterday I also received call from TRAI scam they followed the same pattern at some point I realised I was being scammed and started asking too many questions so the scammer got fed up and disconnected the call abruptly...then I told all my friend and family about this scam😂

I to had one .Call from SBI and said to update bank details.They send one fack link which will be same as SBI login page.But in SBI login page there will not be Phone number but it had with that i escaped .And blacked the number.
