    Boy! Talk about a perfect set-up for this tool! A good pitch on the roof, with eaves close to the ground, and some nice light powdery snow! Looks like it worked great!

    I'd recommend to build all roofs to withstand 100PSF and leave the snow alone.

    Now what do you do when the eave is not at chest height (maybe second story) and the snow has an icy crust covering it?

    • @frankpastizzo814
      @frankpastizzo814  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have used it now for two seasons, and most recently after Blizzard Stella. It cuts under deep snow and makes cave. Crusty top collapses. Plastic sheet has a couple of minor tears from rain gutter and icicles, and the bar has bent a little in crustier conditions, which I have straightened, and the chute has come detached, but can easily re snap on with attached bracket. It has paid for itself in regards to hiring people to go up and do it. Higher roofs with less slope are fine, if you can get back far enough or up on a tail gate, away from the house.

    we bought a brand new snow rake used it 2 times and it broke cheap plastic crap it was 65.00 i hope they will let us bring it back to much money we bought it at L & M Fleet In Bemidji it is a 25 ft. one it was crappy from the first time i used very flimsy i was lucky it didn't go through our windows . We used maybe 16 feet or less to get the shed done and it broke right away the plasic thing connecting to the shovel part broke I don't think super glue can fix it.

    what are you saying? schaade. but it is (I have one) for low walled houses and not so good at two-stories. Here he picked an unusually low walled home. Sneaky guy

    Just broke my cheap plastic roof rake. Difficult to use at the best of times.
    Saw this online at Home Hardware . Went to TH-cam and WOW this guy does a great demonstration.
    Hopefully they have in stock at Picton.

    Well that is dumb! where I live we consider it insulation and just leave the snow on. The key is to build your roof with 12 inche centers and 2x6 trusses. I have never cleared the snow off of my roof. Duh?

    • @frankpastizzo814
      @frankpastizzo814  7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      That is exactly how the roof is built,plus foam insulation but the windows are original 1930's and ice dams cause back-up + Northern NY gets multiple feet at a time, so we take it off in shifts. I can understand your criticism, but your 'dumb' comment was ignorant. Keep it real, unreal.
