I saw the last 2 Episodes yesterday. That scene blew me away. Even Björns or Ivars death was not that depressing. My heart is bleeding... Peter Franzén is such a amazing actor
@@MonsieurSquidward Bjorn’s death was more legendary than sad like leading into battle getting shot with 3 arrows. The sad part came after when Hvitsverk was saying it gladdens him that Bjorn will be in Valhalla. Same with Ivar the sad part was when Hvitverk when there to stand by his brother hand everyone stood in sadness.
LOVED this scene! Why couldn’t Travis had come back to take Bjorn to Valhalla. Would have been so satisfying to him all young again from season 1 and ready to see his son
It would have been epic, but on the other hand it would have been just a fan service. The thing is Ragnar didn't really believe in Valhalla. These brothers did.
I think just because the point of the show which is a roller coaster is weather the gods exist. In this scene you hear harald and halfdan singing in Valhalla yet on the battle field where Ivar dies the Christian and Norse gods do not show up.

Man, I’m so conflicted... This is a perfect death scene for Harald, but the way he ended up there was so weak... After years of contemplating on whether his brother would ever forgive him or not, he got his answer, and they got back together in the end like we first saw them. They even took his killer together, securing a passage to Valhalla. But he ended up there because he got lost in the woods... The King of Norway, was left there to roam in the forest on his own, no bodyguards or anything, he somehow missed the hundreds of soldiers he had, and then, he got killed by a random Saxon official that he didn’t see. So conflicting on whether I should like this or not...
Love the actor, dislike the character (due to the actor playing him so well), love this scene. I think this is a perfectly fitting death for Harold. They do his character justice by having his brother come back and be with him until his last breath. One of the best deaths in the end.
