Very cool! Nice to see Figure making a contribution. I downloaded it again to my iPhone recently and find it really good for quickly generating inspirational sound and beat loops on the move with ease. I save those into Audioshare on my iPhone. I then air drop the wavs to Audioshare on my iPad where I can chop n drop them into Bilbao for some ‘Gadgeting’. I guess that’s kind of similar to your workflow here, but without that delicious ESX hardware 😜
Exactly! 😀 👊 The actual hardware doesn't even matter so much in the end I think... It's the *workflow* imho - Because I can use this same workflow in any hardware sampler/groovebox or in any DAW. At the end of the day, we are doing the same thing creatively - getting sounds from *all over the place* (YAY!!) and arranging/sequencing/mixing them together. (I was really surprised that GR-16 loads on such an old device, too! WOW!!) 😲👍
Wooooo one of your bests..... Thanks for one trick. You have now reached the Snowmetal (Daniel Klerr) level and Leon Dustar level. :) . I mean it. Bravo.
Hey Hey! Thanks for watching! 😀 👊 Yeah, I have a lot of love the SU700 - Back in the late 1990's, It was my main work tool and I made a ton of early tracks with it! WOOT!
I dont own the sx but its superb! Too bad it only has 2 keyboard parts i wouldve prefer it to have more but thats why i prefer the emx over this one. Theres a really cool feature with the sx where you can drop a lot of samples in one file i think and then select them with the start point knob. Then you can drop kick snare hihat in one channel only like in music trackers :). You can even drop a filtered sound sweep in a sample and then modulate the start point like trackers do since you dont have cut off res etc in them programs. Theres also someone on youtube that made a vst called kong that ables you to play a sound in a drum slot since the pitch knob is mapped to the keyboard which is a great feature but youll have to have it plugged in to your pc via midi. As for that sound producing that artifact i think it was when you stopped recording it produced that artifact so youll have to trim the sample as you did.
Thanks for watching! 😀 👊 Yeah, too bad it only has 2 "synth" parts - I sure do like the Stretch loops and slice loops feature though. The bonus for this one imho, is that you can import your own sounds. I still need to check out the multiple samples to one file trick! I saw that video while back, but I haven't tried it yet - Never enough hours in the day! lol 😁
never throw away old iphones and ipads....great sound modules, control surfaces, or even just simple midi sequencer and generators........OR of course - IPAD AUM EFFECTS units as I have been doing with Octatrack and Craftsynth this weekend. :)
@@ElectronisoundsAudio So much fun it can even be overwhelming to be honest. There re so many ways to do every task these days. I have had to stop myself complicating life any further by buying more gear lol......
@@sonicneutronic I agree 100%! New gear is the enemy of actually *finishing* anything! 😏 For me, i'm super lucky because the gear for me is mostly for sound design, geeky explorations and having fun setting up live jams. I don't "need" *any* of it to make music. I can just work in Ableton when i'm not feeling the gear at the time. I think that if the hardware gear were my *only* way of producing, and I wasn't using DAW's and computers and iPads - that I would probably be very frustrated up in here! lol 👊 (also - take a good note here: see how stuff i'm NOT using in my jams? I only pick a FEW things to put together each time - I do not have a giant rig where it's all plugged in at once..... That would be waaaay too much - you *have* to have limitations, or stuff doesn't get *completed* in my experience... ;) 👊
...And keep in mind that it takes me DAYS to set up, write and practice one of the live jams for the channel - These are not just thrown together super quick - they take more than a week of work each to do usually. (Never enough hours in the day!!) 👊
Electronisounds Audio I know exactly what you are saying. I have been pulling one or two items out of my setup and taking them to a different room to try and simplify and motivate. Everything I do tends to be unplanned live jam type stuff, but it’s all just “year one” learning for me, so I don’t mind. Technically I’m very competent (midi, routing etc) but my music needs way more years of experience :) - - - - I certainly don’t need more hardware right now...lol
