wouldnt it be better to use acid? i thought you want diagonal cross hatch to hold oil and seal rings? just asking. i have a few 026 saws to do so i am watching videos.im new to this so i am just asking. thank you so much.barney
You still need to hone it because you have no cross hatches so you piston rings won't seal correctly and it will wear out very fast because the cross hatches hold oil for the rings

I take a flap wheel and polish the aluminum out of them .
So your basically honing the cyclinder?
