One of the more *bizarre doctrines of Adventism* and Ellen G. White is her claim that The Apostle Paul writing in 2Thessalonians is on one hand making every effort to bring as many Gentiles ( *"all nations"* Rom.1:4) into the Church as possible. At the same time, *the Adventist's* preach PAUL is telling everyone that His own Church which Christ instituted is going to become a great whore in less then 200 years. What people will do to justify themselves. In fact, what the Apostle Paul was saying was that the rebellion and persecution of the Church by the Sabbath keepers, was the acts of lawlessness against the authority of the Church, wherein some future date, the rebellion against Christ's duly established Church was going to find it's culmination in some egomaniac so full of himself, that he so try to undermine the authority of the Pope and Church, that he would attack the Church and the Pope to the point he would declare himself God in order to undermine the Pope and the chair of Peter. It is indeed, in the city of Thessalonica that this very thing took place *(Acts 17)* 5*But the Jews (devout Sabbath keepers) which believed not, *moved with envy, took unto them certain lewd fellows of the baser sort, and gathered a company, and set all the city on an uproar, and assaulted the house of Jason, and sought to bring them out to the people.* (to be killed) 6 And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also; 7 Whom Jason hath received: and these all do contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king, one Jesus. Here you have it, motivated by hate and envy, the fabrication of lies and persecution against the Church by devout Sabbath keepers in the very city to whom 2Thessalonians written. Again, to the Thessalonians in 1Thess. 1:14, Paul writes concerning the rebellious Sabbath keepers, *"they MURDERED BOTH CHRIST AND THEIR OWN PROPHETS."* (As Christ also taught in Mt. 23) *THEY PERSECUTED US* (THE APOSTOLIC CHURCH) They *"DON'T PLEASE GOD!"* And, they are *"CONTRARY TO ALL MEN"!* All these same things were taught by Christ in Mt. 23. The rebellion and persecution against the Church Christ himself established is well documented in the actions of the Judaizers who vowed they wouldn't eat or sleep until they murdered the Apostle Paul as they did James and later Peter and others. ' It is the Apostle Paul who wrote these inspired words engraved in scripture for all the world to see in every bible to the Church of Rome in his Epistle called "Romans" : Paul prophesied, *"The God of PEACE will crush Satan under YOUR feet"* *Rom.**16:20* This verse says all you need to know as to whose side people are on. Those who fight the Church of Rome, will be gathered with Satan and be crushed, as promised by the prophetic and inspired words the Apostle Paul, not given over to Satan as the Adventists teach. Notice 1John 2:18-19, how that *"They"* WENT OUT and left the Church because *"They"* were not of US (the church) .1John 2 goes on to say, *"for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have CONTINUED with us:* That's what Protestantism did, *"They"* WENT OUT from us. And, then they all attacked "Us" because they hated us and became anti-christ. NOTICE WHO LEAVES WHO! THESE PEOPLE WHO ARE *"FALLEN AWAY"* ARE THOSE THAT LEAVE THE CHURCH. BECAUSE, THEY WERE "NOT OF US" AND THE LEAVING OF THE CHURCH, MANIFESTS, *THEY WERE NEVER OF US, THE CHURCH*
Elder Dustin, historical Adventist is being washed away and it is our responsibility to keep it alive and spread the true gospel that includes the Three Angels Messages. The notion of the Sunday law does a number of things that are very important to Adventists. *Ultimately it protects and validates the Investigative Judgement* . The order of the validations goes something like this: A) Extremely heavy stock was placed on something actually occurring on date of October 22, 1844. The notion of the Investigative Judgment filled the void of the Great disappointment as an explanation. B) The investigative Judgement will be completed when "the Close of Probation" occurs. C) The close of probation is evidenced by the arrival of the Mark of the Beast - which is when the Sunday law will enforced. *Thus a significant "domino effect" would occur if the Sunday law does not materialize* : 1) If there is no Sunday law then there is no evidence of the close of probation. 2) If there is no close of probation then there is nothing to prove that an Investigative Judgement was ever occurring or even necessary to begin with. 3) If the investigative judgement is not real, then the whole of Adventism has been incorrect from the onset. It follows then that the Three Angels Messages, as Adventism has interpreted them, has been wrong all along and thus completely disappears. This would be Seventh-day Adventism *without* the 3AM. Thus the notion of the Sunday law must be protected at all costs. And since the Sunday law is always something that will supposedly occur somewhere in the near or distant future, the Adventists are safe (because the future always lies before us). So as long as the traditional narrative is maintained, the Sunday law can never be proved wrong, UNLESS it is seriously questioned by the Seventh-day Adventists themselves, which is now beginning to occur.

There are already Sunday laws in place where a person cannot buy or sell. In many states including Colorado it is against the law for an auto dealer to sell a vehicle on Sunday.
The trend over the past four decades has been to repeal those blue laws. Any attempt today at introducing such a bill in the U.S. Congress for a national law would be laughed at. Such a law would be blatantly unconstitutional under the Establishment Clause. Even if such a bill passed Congress, it would be immediately stayed by the courts and struck down soon thereafter.

Many years ago John Pauline was the key note speaker at a elders meeting I attended & he stated " he was not comfortable in telling his roman Catholic friends that the papacy was the beast of revelation 13 " .He was asked ' Then how do we take the 3 angels message to the world ' .He had no answer! .

I agree it's not a comfortable thing to say to our catholic friends.. That doesn't mean he hasn't said it or that he never will. It is our duty to reveal truth to our friends. I like Pauline and his sermons on revelation where he speaks clearly on the 3 angels messages.
By definition a prophecy foretells the future. That means it will manifest and be experienced in the future and even by generations to come. If it lacks a futuristic view but only relevant to current context of the Prophet it ceases to be a prophecy. Isiah prophesied the coming of Christ 700 years before it happened. Clearly at the birth of Christ the context had changed for Isaiah but the prophecy stood the test of time and remains relevant to us today. May the Lord continue to guide His church.
Based on this presentation, sounds to me that Dr Paulien does not believe in the prophet Ellen White and sought to undermine her writings. Rev 12:17 points to the SDA church as the remnant that keep the commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus Christ which is the Spirit of prophecy. One is not of the Remnant if they don't have both. I guess the wheat and the tares must grow together until the harvest.
I actually came across a video of Congress debating on the Sunday Law 2 years ago before the Lord brought me back to church. It hadn't been passed. But its definitely being spoke about.

The problem with the approach of the Historical Critical approach as applied by by Paulien is that it takes God out of the equation, and he reduces the messages of His prophets to mere fantasy. God is not dependent on any situation in history. God is omni-scient, -present - which means that He IS in history, all history as well in the present and the future. He already has a plan and knows how to handle all situations. He doesn’t change, He doesn’t need to change, because He IS.
There are things that surprise us about God's mercy but if He were not predictable we would live in constant fear of being destroyed for any error on our part. Sunday laws already exist but have become dormant. Ellen White spoke the truth as it was given her by God! What she said will happen.
She was a false prophet and you are a fool to believe her. Why dont you search for the word Sunday law in the Bible without adding SDA BS into the Word of God.

Texas also has blue laws in place. Back in the 70s I got married. And we went to buy bed linens for our bed.and that was under blue law of sunday. Purchase. Items not allowed. So yes the Sunday law has been in effect for years.
THE Sunday law of bible prophecy has been effect? No not so. The fulfillment of THE Sunday law accompanies other major events such as restriction of worship on any other day, religious persecution. The blue laws is not the Sunday law but rather a precursor or a conditioning of society

Christ explicitly agrees with Rev.18, that the Old Covenant Sabbath keepers are the Harlot of Revelation 18!

You are correct the signs are there now and have been for the past three years. We are told in Jeremiah 51 how long The Shutdown would last and the side effects of the pharmaceuticals , that veils of shame would cover our faces and strangers would enter / desecrate God’s sanctuaries . We were told to come out of the fallen churches and let Jerusalem come to our minds( flee). In Revelation 18 we were told to come out of the fallen churches who are accepting practices of Babylon ( alphabet soup issues or receive the plagues). No more remaining neutral. No more sitting on the fence. We must stand and be counted/ judged . Do the words 15 days to flatten the curve sound familiar to you? For in one hour is repeated 3 times here . Revelation 18:10, 17,19God has firmly established it will happen. Biblically/ prophetically speaking 15 days is one hour and during this time the merchants could not sell their merchandise and their ships were stuck in the harbors and not allowed to dock. Harbors looked like parking lots .( verse 10)No one could buy the merchandise during this 15 days , not just those with the mark. ( verse 11). And a great man and leaders of the Earth and force their citizens to accept pharmaceuticals which would eventually lead to the candle going out because it’s a force of conscious verse 23 . These pharmaceuticals are a deception because they do not actually work to cure the problem. Send chapter 19 of Revelation talks about Jesus coming back not as the lamb slain , but as the lion / king and conqueror, bridegroom. He is the lamb but he’s coming at the conqueror. Hosea 6:1-3 says Two days/years to revive us and the third year we must stand and be counted basically this happens when the latter rain is falling, a reference to Joel 2:23
@19:01...l have always felt that it is not good to anticipate what God will do in my life. He often surprises me/us. Sometimes l think He wants me to "give up" to the point that He can operate behind the scenes like He did for Job, Naomi, and Joseph. He tells us that "now l have told you before it happens, so that *WHEN* it happens you *might* believe" (John 14:29). Apparently we have trouble with faith (Luke 18:8), for we are to *"walk by faith, and not by sight"* (2 Corinthians 5:7/Mark 11:22).

You only can get ready by reading the open scroll Rev 5:1-5 by the return lord jesus the lion of the tribe of judah. The book when open will purify and make white and tried..daniel 12 :9,10..this book is where the holy spirit speak to the churches. Rev 2:7.

It has been said that EGW had very good feelings about the 1911 edition of "The Great Controversy"; which has the exact same quotes as the 1888, with regards to the Sunday law enactment. So, it is clear, the Sunday law has relevance for a time after the 1800s.
But the Sunday law has no relevance in our present time. Since the late 1800s, Seventh-day Adventists have seen the arrival of this universal Sunday law in every crisis. Each time, they suppose that this "crisis" will be the one that finally brings in Sunday legislation. For well over a century, any world crisis-whether it be the COVID pandemic, or climate change, or the world trade center bombing-is seen as the trigger mechanism that convinces lawmakers to abandon all reason and bow down to the papacy and institute a National Sunday Law (and start looking for SDA heads to chop off). However, each time, the crisis fades and the National Sunday Law conspiracy never materializes. Then, they start looking for the next crisis. These people live in a constant state of paranoia. While SDAs are fretting over a National Sunday Law, their Christian brothers and sisters seem to have no interest whatsoever in forcing Sabbath-keepers to worship on Sunday. That is correct. The notion of the Sunday law was first promoted by Joseph Bates. He simply replaced those who were considered apostates under the Shut door doctrine with the notion that it is now the Sunday keepers who are the ones who are shut out from the mercy of God. So with one foul swoop he was able to continue to isolate the little flock of disappointed Millerites from the rest of Christianity. And as we all know, it always feels good to be the only ones who have the real truth. (And so the same attitude continues on to this very day).

You know if we are to succeed in convincing the truth of the Sunday law to others, it must be done with the Bible alone. And this is the real problem here. The notion of the Sunday law *is not found ANYWHERE in Scripture* . If we had to get on the debate stage with other Christian scholars and make a positive case for the Sunday law, we'd be laughed off stage. Our arguments are built upon eisegesis rather than exegesis. For example, we can't use Ellen White's statements, which are extra-biblical and thus would not be valid in a debate using Sola Scriptura principle (which we demand of others do in making any doctrinal case). With TH-cam and all the rest of new media at our finger tips, debates on this topic are soon coming, and are in fact long _overdue_ seeing that there is not even one debate so far. Other Christians are now preparing to make Adventists answer for the Sunday law. Why? Because unlike other SDA doctrines, the Sunday law paints the rest of Christianity as the enemy. Names like "Babylon", "Daughters of the Whore", "Nominal Churches", and "Apostate Christianity" are given by Adventists to describe others who don't fall in line with the "Remnant's truth." Such name calling is a war cry and when they finally respond they'll see the Sunday law doctrine as sort of an Achilles heel to attack. Unfortunately, the Sunday law doctrine is a sacred cow within Adventism, and to dare question it may get someone dismissed or lose their livelihood or pension. But there are those who are doing just that. Adventists like Dr. Jon Paulien, Reinder Bruinsma, Loren Seibold, Marvin Moore and others have looked for a way forward. (Please query their arguments to see how this can be accomplished). In the mean time we need to ask some very important questions: Did Jesus say, "You are God's children because you went to church on Saturday and judged those who went to church on Sunday?" No, He didn't. The Sabbath has never been a test for gentile Christians and it never will be. The final test will be whether or not a person has the unselfish and loving character of Jesus Christ. This is why you can't find the final test (the Sabbath vs Sunday concept) directly stated anywhere in the Bible either. Also, consider this: Why would Satan attempt something so self-defeating as passing a Sunday law? He is doing just fine now! The world is rapidly becoming post-Christian. Some claim that Australia and Europe have already entered a post-Christian era and the United States and Canada are not far behind. Pagan, New Age, and occult religions are experiencing a tremendous surge in popularity. Secularism, materialism, and sensualism are eating out the heart of Christianity. Over recent decades, in most Western nations, Christianity has been losing members in droves. Why are Seventh-day Adventists looking into the future for persecution? Christians are already suffering record numbers of persecutions throughout the world. With all the success Satan is currently enjoying, persecuting Christians and leading people away from Christianity, why would he want to establish laws enforcing a traditional Christian practice upon the world? If he did so, he would be turning people's attention back towards Christianity, forcing people to spend time contemplating God and His law. He would be fighting his own best interests! Lesser light refers to the moon that rules over the night and has nothing do with anything other than moon worship. God would never tell a messenger to refer to herself as a lesser light. i've not watched all of this, yet i will. in 1888 A.T. Jones went before senator Blair and his committee considering a national sunday law. from a recreation of that, it appeared that Jones approached the committee based on "religious liberty" and how such a law was violating the 1st amendment. i do not know what the full history of the time was then. but the law did not go thru. then in the 80's we had the "moral majority" with Falwell and his associations with politicians. nothing came from that other than some entering politics into both parties. from following speakers, pastors, both videos and print, we seem to be at time when there is much pressure from different parties, organizations, pushing against each other, socially with all the unrest, government administrations doing some nefarious things, such as speech suppression so as not to offend or even calling some "misinformation." we also see governments of different countries in opposition. also thru environmental groups pushing their agenda, there is much strife in the world. people from all over the world are joining this movement, not just for the environment but also to combat poverty in the less developed countries. in the pope's laudato si, he is calling for a world wide day of rest on sunday. he doesn't use the term "rest or worship' but that will come. for it's been the history that error, deception does not come in to hit you in the face, but little by little. many of the countries too, are planning to switch, or have switched to a CBDC system, Central Bank Digital Currency." which would be accompanied with a digital ID card which can be tracked, and even shut down accounts. there are good benefits to this system, but it is also open to much abuse. money tranfers would be much quicker, direct, easier, fraud and embezzlement would take a big hit, but as always, the devil is in the smaller details. any donations to a terrorist group would be tracked, cancelled, and the reciever's account shut down and investigated. however, we live in a time when the present president and others of his party have called citizens who disagree with their policies, "domestic terrorist." however, do not focus your eyes on just them. on the right, there are those from religious circles calling on people to run for political offices to vote in laws to bring this country back to being a "christian nation." this country was founded on 2 principles, the right to govern itself and the right in religious liberty, to worship as the individual saw as right, or not to worship. it matters not which party you vote for in major elections. our adversary, though a fallen angel, is not ignorant. he has his hands in both, thru his agents. you can read these books, "washinton in the lap of rome" written in 1888, "the suppressed truth about the assasination of Abraham Lincoln," "50 years in the church of rome." there is another. i think the title is something like "the nazis and secrets of the jesuits." several of these books are available thru amazon, a few you have to download by pdf. how i see things now is he, the devil, is pushing from one side of sin, iniquity, trying to push the other side to push back, like a pendulum swing. it's a matter of how hard the other side pushes back. in all that i have seen, videos, print and such, there has been no other time since the beginnings of our church, were there is so much workings towards something is going to happen. when? that's if God's capable hands. what can or should we do? the same we are called to do. to proclaim the 3 angels message, as we have never done before, meetings, witness to individuals, getting books out, websites, billboards, whichever way, pleasing to God. 1 or 2 things will happen. people will see the truth and be converted, or at least see what's going on, or we will incite the ire of satan and his agents. either way, it can lead to Jesus' return. i close with the last sentence in revelation, "even so, come Lord Jesus."

The rebellion and persecution against the Church Christ himself established is well documented in the actions of the Judaizers who vowed they wouldn't eat or sleep until they murdered the Apostle Paul as they did James and later Peter and others. ' It is the Apostle Paul who wrote these inspired words engraved in scripture for all the world to see in every bible to the Church of Rome in his Epistle called "Romans" : Paul prophesied, *"The God of PEACE will crush Satan under YOUR feet"* *Rom.**16:20* This verse says all you need to know as to whose side people are on. The Sunday law is not a conditional prophecy. It is the main test that will test the world as to which commandments they will honor, those of God or those of men. It is destiny. Dr. Paulien is in dangerous waters if this is what he's proposing. You don't second guess scripture or a Prophet of the Lord.
To say that God is unpredictable is to compare Him to a dictator or a cheap politician. This would mean that he is unreliable. God does tell us what He will do, but not all the time how. This makes Him inscrutable which is not synonymous to unpredictable. We might have fifth column amount us.
It is extremely important to check the utterances of all, especially those of the highly learned or of high church office - against the Word of God, as did the humble Bereans. They *"DON'T PLEASE GOD!"*
And, they are *"CONTRARY TO ALL MEN"!*
All these same things were taught by Christ in Mt. 23.
The rebellion and persecution against the Church Christ himself established is well documented in the actions of the Judaizers who vowed they wouldn't eat or sleep until they murdered the Apostle Paul as they did James and later Peter and others. '
It is the Apostle Paul who wrote these inspired words engraved in scripture for all the world to see in every bible to the Church of Rome in his Epistle called "Romans" : Paul prophesied, *"The God of PEACE will crush Satan under YOUR feet"* *Rom.**16:20* This verse says all you need to know as to whose side people are on. Those who fight the Church of Rome, will be gathered with Satan and be crushed, as promised by the prophetic and inspired words the Apostle Paul, not given over to Satan as the Adventists teach.
Notice 1John 2:18-19, how that *"They"* WENT OUT and left the Church because *"They"* were not of US (the church) .1John 2 goes on to say, *"for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have CONTINUED with us:* That's what Protestantism did, *"They"* WENT OUT from us. And, then they all attacked "Us" because they hated us and became anti-christ.

The notion of the Sunday law does a number of things that are very important to Adventists. *Ultimately it protects and validates the Investigative Judgement* .
The order of the validations goes something like this:
A) Extremely heavy stock was placed on something actually occurring on date of October 22, 1844. The notion of the Investigative Judgment filled the void of the Great disappointment as an explanation.
B) The investigative Judgement will be completed when "the Close of Probation" occurs.
C) The close of probation is evidenced by the arrival of the Mark of the Beast - which is when the Sunday law will enforced.
*Thus a significant "domino effect" would occur if the Sunday law does not materialize* :
1) If there is no Sunday law then there is no evidence of the close of probation. 2) If there is no close of probation then there is nothing to prove that an Investigative Judgement was ever occurring or even necessary to begin with. 3) If the investigative judgement is not real, then the whole of Adventism has been incorrect from the onset.
It follows then that the Three Angels Messages, as Adventism has interpreted them, has been wrong all along and thus completely disappears. This would be Seventh-day Adventism *without* the 3AM.
Thus the notion of the Sunday law must be protected at all costs. And since the Sunday law is always something that will supposedly occur somewhere in the near or distant future, the Adventists are safe (because the future always lies before us). So as long as the traditional narrative is maintained, the Sunday law can never be proved wrong, UNLESS it is seriously questioned by the Seventh-day Adventists themselves, which is now beginning to occur.

By definition a prophecy foretells the future. That means it will manifest and be experienced in the future and even by generations to come. If it lacks a futuristic view but only relevant to current context of the Prophet it ceases to be a prophecy. Isiah prophesied the coming of Christ 700 years before it happened. Clearly at the birth of Christ the context had changed for Isaiah but the prophecy stood the test of time and remains relevant to us today. May the Lord continue to guide His church.
Based on this presentation, sounds to me that Dr Paulien does not believe in the prophet Ellen White and sought to undermine her writings. Rev 12:17 points to the SDA church as the remnant that keep the commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus Christ which is the Spirit of prophecy. One is not of the Remnant if they don't have both. I guess the wheat and the tares must grow together until the harvest.
I actually came across a video of Congress debating on the Sunday Law 2 years ago before the Lord brought me back to church. It hadn't been passed. But its definitely being spoke about.

The problem with the approach of the Historical Critical approach as applied by by Paulien is that it takes God out of the equation, and he reduces the messages of His prophets to mere fantasy. God is not dependent on any situation in history. God is omni-scient, -present - which means that He IS in history, all history as well in the present and the future. He already has a plan and knows how to handle all situations. He doesn’t change, He doesn’t need to change, because He IS.

Texas also has blue laws in place. Back in the 70s I got married. And we went to buy bed linens for our bed.and that was under blue law of sunday. Purchase. Items not allowed. So yes the Sunday law has been in effect for years.

We have no interest in not driving our cars on a certain day of the week and will fight against such a notion. We have no interest in forcing Sabbath keepers to start worshipping on Sundays. You are correct the signs are there now and have been for the past three years. We are told in Jeremiah 51 how long The Shutdown would last and the side effects of the pharmaceuticals , that veils of shame would cover our faces and strangers would enter / desecrate God’s sanctuaries . Harbors looked like parking lots .( verse 10)No one could buy the merchandise during this 15 days , not just those with the mark. ( verse 11). And a great man and leaders of the Earth and force their citizens to accept pharmaceuticals which would eventually lead to the candle going out because it’s a force of conscious verse 23 . These pharmaceuticals are a deception because they do not actually work to cure the problem. Send chapter 19 of Revelation talks about Jesus coming back not as the lamb slain , but as the lion / king and conqueror, bridegroom. He is the lamb but he’s coming at the conqueror. Hosea 6:1-3 says Two days/years to revive us and the third year we must stand and be counted basically this happens when the latter rain is falling, a reference to Joel 2:23

Sometimes l think He wants me to "give up" to the point that He can operate behind the scenes like He did for Job, Naomi, and Joseph. He tells us that "now l have told you before it happens, so that *WHEN* it happens you *might* believe" (John 14:29). Apparently we have trouble with faith (Luke 18:8), for we are to *"walk by faith, and not by sight"* (2 Corinthians 5:7/Mark 11:22).

It has been said that EGW had very good feelings about the 1911 edition of "The Great Controversy"; which has the exact same quotes as the 1888, with regards to the Sunday law enactment. So, it is clear, the Sunday law has relevance for a time after the 1800s.
But the Sunday law has no relevance in our present time.
Since the late 1800s, Seventh-day Adventists have seen the arrival of this universal Sunday law in every crisis. Each time, they suppose that this "crisis" will be the one that finally brings in Sunday legislation. For well over a century, any world crisis-whether it be the COVID pandemic, or climate change, or the world trade center bombing-is seen as the trigger mechanism that convinces lawmakers to abandon all reason and bow down to the papacy and institute a National Sunday Law (and start looking for SDA heads to chop off). However, each time, the crisis fades and the National Sunday Law conspiracy never materializes. Then, they start looking for the next crisis. These people live in a constant state of paranoia.
While SDAs are fretting over a National Sunday Law, their Christian brothers and sisters seem to have no interest whatsoever in forcing Sabbath-keepers to worship on Sunday. However, to imagine that Sunday-keeping Christians want to force everyone else in the world to observe Sunday as a religious day is preposterous.

The notion of the Sunday law was first promoted by Joseph Bates. He simply replaced those who were considered apostates under the Shut door doctrine with the notion that it is now the Sunday keepers who are the ones who are shut out from the mercy of God. So with one foul swoop he was able to continue to isolate the little flock of disappointed Millerites from the rest of Christianity. And as we all know, it always feels good to be the only ones who have the real truth. (And so the same attitude continues on to this very day).

Look at the work of the 1st beast on the laodato si he is gradually coordinating. It is making united perception about sunday rest. Look at the digital technology, the signs of the time are clear. You know if we are to succeed in convincing the truth of the Sunday law to others, it must be done with the Bible alone. And this is the real problem here. The notion of the Sunday law *is not found ANYWHERE in Scripture* . If we had to get on the debate stage with other Christian scholars and make a positive case for the Sunday law, we'd be laughed off stage. Our arguments are built upon eisegesis rather than exegesis. For example, we can't use Ellen White's statements, which are extra-biblical and thus would not be valid in a debate using Sola Scriptura principle (which we demand of others do in making any doctrinal case).
With TH-cam and all the rest of new media at our finger tips, debates on this topic are soon coming, and are in fact long _overdue_ seeing that there is not even one debate so far. Other Christians are now preparing to make Adventists answer for the Sunday law. Why? Because unlike other SDA doctrines, the Sunday law paints the rest of Christianity as the enemy. Names like "Babylon", "Daughters of the Whore", "Nominal Churches", and "Apostate Christianity" are given by Adventists to describe others who don't fall in line with the "Remnant's truth." Such name calling is a war cry and when they finally respond they'll see the Sunday law doctrine as sort of an Achilles heel to attack.
Unfortunately, the Sunday law doctrine is a sacred cow within Adventism, and to dare question it may get someone dismissed or lose their livelihood or pension. But there are those who are doing just that. Adventists like Dr. Jon Paulien, Reinder Bruinsma, Loren Seibold, Marvin Moore and others have looked for a way forward. (Please query their arguments to see how this can be accomplished). In the mean time we need to ask some very important questions:
Did Jesus say, "You are God's children because you went to church on Saturday and judged those who went to church on Sunday?" No, He didn't. The Sabbath has never been a test for gentile Christians and it never will be. The final test will be whether or not a person has the unselfish and loving character of Jesus Christ. This is why you can't find the final test (the Sabbath vs Sunday concept) directly stated anywhere in the Bible either.
Also, consider this: Why would Satan attempt something so self-defeating as passing a Sunday law? He is doing just fine now! The world is rapidly becoming post-Christian. Some claim that Australia and Europe have already entered a post-Christian era and the United States and Canada are not far behind. Pagan, New Age, and occult religions are experiencing a tremendous surge in popularity. Secularism, materialism, and sensualism are eating out the heart of Christianity. Over recent decades, in most Western nations, Christianity has been losing members in droves. Why are Seventh-day Adventists looking into the future for persecution? Christians are already suffering record numbers of persecutions throughout the world. With all the success Satan is currently enjoying, persecuting Christians and leading people away from Christianity, why would he want to establish laws enforcing a traditional Christian practice upon the world? If he did so, he would be turning people's attention back towards Christianity, forcing people to spend time contemplating God and His law. He would be fighting his own best interests! The SDA end-time scenario simply makes no sense, and it is time to reevaluate before we loose even more members.

As you might have gathered by my moniker, I don't believe that the notion of the Sunday law has any merit, both biblically and in reality. I am sure you probably disagree, but in the event that you may have never studied what the opposing position actually is, may I offer you a short book that is available for free online that discusses why this notion is an impossibility. i've not watched all of this, yet i will. in 1888 A.T. Jones went before senator Blair and his committee considering a national sunday law. from a recreation of that, it appeared that Jones approached the committee based on "religious liberty" and how such a law was violating the 1st amendment. i do not know what the full history of the time was then. but the law did not go thru. then in the 80's we had the "moral majority" with Falwell and his associations with politicians. nothing came from that other than some entering politics into both parties. from following speakers, pastors, both videos and print, we seem to be at time when there is much pressure from different parties, organizations, pushing against each other, socially with all the unrest, government administrations doing some nefarious things, such as speech suppression so as not to offend or even calling some "misinformation." we also see governments of different countries in opposition. also thru environmental groups pushing their agenda, there is much strife in the world. people from all over the world are joining this movement, not just for the environment but also to combat poverty in the less developed countries. in the pope's laudato si, he is calling for a world wide day of rest on sunday. he doesn't use the term "rest or worship' but that will come. for it's been the history that error, deception does not come in to hit you in the face, but little by little. many of the countries too, are planning to switch, or have switched to a CBDC system, Central Bank Digital Currency." which would be accompanied with a digital ID card which can be tracked, and even shut down accounts. there are good benefits to this system, but it is also open to much abuse. money tranfers would be much quicker, direct, easier, fraud and embezzlement would take a big hit, but as always, the devil is in the smaller details. any donations to a terrorist group would be tracked, cancelled, and the reciever's account shut down and investigated. however, we live in a time when the present president and others of his party have called citizens who disagree with their policies, "domestic terrorist." however, do not focus your eyes on just them. on the right, there are those from religious circles calling on people to run for political offices to vote in laws to bring this country back to being a "christian nation." this country was founded on 2 principles, the right to govern itself and the right in religious liberty, to worship as the individual saw as right, or not to worship. it matters not which party you vote for in major elections. our adversary, though a fallen angel, is not ignorant. he has his hands in both, thru his agents. you can read these books, "washinton in the lap of rome" written in 1888, "the suppressed truth about the assasination of Abraham Lincoln," "50 years in the church of rome." there is another. i think the title is something like "the nazis and secrets of the jesuits." several of these books are available thru amazon, a few you have to download by pdf. how i see things now is he, the devil, is pushing from one side of sin, iniquity, trying to push the other side to push back, like a pendulum swing. it's a matter of how hard the other side pushes back. in all that i have seen, videos, print and such, there has been no other time since the beginnings of our church, were there is so much workings towards something is going to happen. when? that's if God's capable hands. what can or should we do? the same we are called to do. to proclaim the 3 angels message, as we have never done before, meetings, witness to individuals, getting books out, websites, billboards, whichever way, pleasing to God. 1 or 2 things will happen. people will see the truth and be converted, or at least see what's going on, or we will incite the ire of satan and his agents. either way, it can lead to Jesus' return. i close with the last sentence in revelation, "even so, come Lord Jesus."
One of the more *bizarre doctrines of Adventism* and Ellen G. White is her claim that The Apostle Paul writing in 2Thessalonians is on one hand making every effort to bring as many Gentiles ( *"all nations"* Rom.1:4) into the Church as possible, while at the same time, *the Adventist's* preach PAUL is telling everyone that His own Church which Christ instituted is going to become a great whore in less then 200 years. What people will do to justify themselves.
In fact, what the Apostle Paul was saying was that the rebellion and persecution of the Church by the Sabbath keepers, was the acts of lawlessness against the authority of the Church, wherein some future date, the rebellion against Christ's duly established Church was going to find it's culmination in some egomaniac so full of himself, that he so try to undermine the authority of the Pope and Church, that he would attack the Church and the Pope to the point he would declare himself God in order to undermine the Pope and the chair of Peter. It is indeed, in the city of Thessalonica that this very thing took place *(Acts 17)*

Here you have it, motivated by hate and envy, the fabrication of lies and persecution against the Church by devout Sabbath keepers in the very city to whom 2Thessalonians written.
Again, to the Thessalonians in 1Thess. 1:14, Paul writes concerning the rebellious Sabbath keepers, *"they MURDERED BOTH CHRIST AND THEIR OWN PROPHETS."* (As Christ also taught in Mt. 23)
*THEY PERSECUTED US* (THE APOSTOLIC CHURCH)
They *"DON'T PLEASE GOD!"*
And, they are *"CONTRARY TO ALL MEN"!*
All these same things were taught by Christ in Mt. 23.
The rebellion and persecution against the Church Christ himself established is well documented in the actions of the Judaizers who vowed they wouldn't eat or sleep until they murdered the Apostle Paul as they did James and later Peter and others. '
It is the Apostle Paul who wrote these inspired words engraved in scripture for all the world to see in every bible to the Church of Rome in his Epistle called "Romans" : Paul prophesied, *"The God of PEACE will crush Satan under YOUR feet"* *Rom.**16:20* This verse says all you need to know as to whose side people are on. Those who fight the Church of Rome, will be gathered with Satan and be crushed, as promised by the prophetic and inspired words the Apostle Paul, not given over to Satan as the Adventists teach.

The Adventist message is pretty simple: *The Sabbath vs Sunday*
The Sunday law is not a conditional prophecy. It is the main test that will test the world as to which commandments they will honor, those of God or those of men. It is destiny. Dr. Paulien is in dangerous waters if this is what he's proposing. You don't second guess scripture or a Prophet of the Lord.
To say that God is unpredictable is to compare Him to a dictator or a cheap politician. This would mean that he is unreliable. God does tell us what He will do, but not all the time how. This makes Him inscrutable which is not synonymous to unpredictable. We might have fifth column amount us.
It is extremely important to check the utterances of all, especially those of the highly learned or of high church office - against the Word of God, as did the humble Bereans. Theories and opinions must, in these last days, be doubly checked. History repeats itself. Des Ford was not the first to confuse our congregations around the world, neither is he the last. Why do we say it is being revealed to us when its been in the 10 comandments since moses. Im guilty of it too,i beleived man over Yahwey our true God, but im on the right path now,i encourage true beleivers to read the books of Enock that were taken out of the bible.
Through Dr. Jon Paulien and others, the Seventh-day Adventist church has been given an opportunity to readjust their mistaken notion of a coming Sunday law. If they don't abandon this doctrine now it will soon be a whirlwind in their denomination that will take out many current members.
What is coming is a serious challenge from the rest of Christendom to account biblically for the doctrine of the Sunday law. And there is *_no way_* that an Adventist apologist can make a defense of this doctrine on a debate stage with the Bible alone. Yet this is the gauntlet that is about to be cast down before the SDAs over the next few years.

The SNL doctrine places huge emphasis on an unlikely future event, which at its core causes Adventists to be fearful and suspicious of other Christians.
