What's up my beautiful people. Vlogging while being a full time medical student has proved to be challenging... But here we are. I hope you enjoy this one.

I took a gap half-year (the cycle for med school is once a semester here in Germany), and while I waited for my med school acceptance and to resit an entry exam, I worked in a doctor's office as a medical assistant. It was SO valuable for me and gave me such insight into the daily work of doctors and strengthened my resolve to become one myself. I definitely agree with the "no shame in a gap year" advice, and also advise people to do something medical while they wait, I'm still reaping the benefits of just being in that environment well into my second semester. Love the vlog as always, Ben, keep it up :)) Thanks for showing us your life!

I think you made the right decision! You’re amazing! I stumbled across your videos yesterday and I enjoy them! I can’t wait for another one to come out. Make sure not to burn yourself out with trying to push out a video every week. Make sure you focus on YOU and school and family and then your TH-cam family. I don’t want to see you get stressed out trying to push our content for us on top of the massive amount of studying you have to do. Love the PNW, just not the rain! It’s so interesting to see how different programs are set up. We started with coagulation and stuff like that and we’re just now starting anatomy. Great video overall!

Thank you for the motivation, I graduated high school last year and next year I finish my undergraduate but I feel like extending my graduation to get a minor in chem oh and I’m also tacking the MCAT next year April

Do you think my chances of getting into med school decrease since I’m not in an honors college program at my school?
I don't think so. Your GPA and MCAT matter a great deal more than where you actually go (although going to a prestigous school does help)
