I love Phantasialand! While there have been loads of new attractions installed since my last visit in 2007, I still look back at my visit fondly. We ended up liking the place so much we went back for a second day. Great shots, look and editing as usual!

The problem with Temple of the Nighthawk is its theming, when that coaster first opened in the late 80s, it had some really cool space theming, wich included the trains and the ride area itself. Sadly though they later removed that and replaced it with the "theming" found there today, also they seem to not want anybody to ride on it as the whole thing is well hidden in the back portion of the park. It is really sad to be able to ride first row three times in a row due to the fact, that no one wants to ride, as that in my opinion wouldn´t be so if the theming hadn´t been got rid of. Im still a huge fan of that coaster, not only because it still holds some world records after roughly 30 years of operation, but due to the fact that it still is a fun ride with no queuetime or whatsoever......
I imagine it would be much better with the older theming. It's a shame that they changed it, but now I would really like the park to use the space for something else, especially since how they lack real room.
Thats understandable, for my part I wonder why they haven´t demolished it yet, especially concidering how big that attraction is compared to most others, maybe they´re planning some sort of renovation or so, would be nice.....
@@TrainsPlanesRheinSieg Trains_Planes Rhein-Sieg Nah. If they were going to keep Temple in the long term they would have already done something more with it. The park are very much aware, and have admitted, that it doesn't match their standards. Due to the extreme lack of space they are strategically playing a long game of redeveloping the park and making every bit of space count as they patiently await to hopefully secure new land.
As for why haven't done it already? Fantissima their highly profitable and popular dinner show is in the same building and they haven't got a replacement venue yet.
Also stuff like Silver City and Race for Atlantis just simply were more in need of replacement than Temple.
The Temple/Hollywood Tour building is a massive plot of land, prime for a new indoor area and rides it will undoubtedly go. Personally I'd predict Temple has about 3 more years left, as Geister Rikscha is rumoured to be replaced next.
Trains_Planes Rhein-Sieg when I went, it took ages to find that ride, like most of the lesser known rides there

COASTER BOT honestly one of the highlights of my youth.
This is the first one of your vlogs I’ve watched but I have to say, it’s top quality! I’ll be subscribing in a moment. Good background music, excellent editing - kept my interest going throughout and I liked the frequent reviews of rides featuring you and Zoe. Looks a great park and I’m really excited for my upcoming trip there in just over 2 weeks time. Taron looks good but I can’t see it displacing Helix as my favourite ride but we’ll see!

I freakin love Mystery Castle, the part when you're up there looking at each other with that wierd light just sells it for me. You got launched 2 times? if so, you got the best one.
We did get launched twice. That is a fantastic part, I also love it when the ride just throws you back towards the ground - it is awesome! :)
Yeah, the mysery cycle is just a single maximum launch
The better cycle is a really nice surprise as the second launch comes out of nowhere

Perfect time for a vlog, been there just yesterday and barely got on all the coasters, fricking queues. As an absolute newbie to coasters, I must say that Taron is absolutely mental (especially the s-curves) and the theming is just beyond awesome, being the second park for me. Must say Heide Park doesn't compare at all. I have to go again when F.L.Y. opens.
Taron is mental and fantastic! Heide Park is extremely different to Phantasialand in many senses of the word. :)

Hey, just wondering what camera you use? The auto focus is really good on it
It's a Panasonic Lumix G7. The autofocus on it is decent, but the quick focus you saw was Zoe half pressing the shutter button to focus it on me :)

I was there about 2 weeks. Loved the Park, it has really well done Theming. Taron and Black mamba are fantastic ride's. Taron is without a doubt best coaster without a Inver in the world.

You need to do an explained episode of this! The park has the best combination of Theming and thrill rides in the world. Taron has the best theming in the world and it probably the best coaster in the work without an inversion.

I would give Taron 7 Screams
The Last time I was in Cologne I actually got a chance to see my favourite piece of architecture; the Cologne Cathedral (despite me being an atheist.) But that was in 2009 when Taron didn't exist. Now that it does I'll make a point of going there next time I visit Cologne. I think there's a fair chance I'll like Taron better than Maverick, (but I prefer Millennium Force and Steel Vengeance to Maverick anyhow. I'm not a fan of the "beyond vertical" drop on Maverick, or the boring lift hill, or the break entering the tunnel.) From what I can tell Taron looks better than Maverick, but I'm not expecting it to beat MF or SV. Thanks for this comprehensive video of Phantasialand, the best themed amusement park in Europe if not the world.

Your thoughts on River Quest?
It is a very cool ride, especially the drop, but it didn't blow me away. Maybe with better boats I'd have been blown away fully! We didn't ride River Quest as it wasn't very warm and we didn't want to get absolutely soaked.
You missed the strangest + best rafting ride ever :). But you made a understandable decision. You get terribly soaked on that one.

13:10 I wish... flights from Helsinki-Vantaa to anywhere near the place cost at least 130€ so adding in park tickets, hotel etc 2 days at Phantasialand would probably amount to at least 400€ for me :V

It's the house that you see at 8:06, it's some sort of rotating house (I don't know what the correct term for it is), with the illusion that you're going upside down. It's alright I've seen better versions but there is a really long intro scene which is really weird. You didn't miss out on much but I was curious if you experienced it.

So honestly, Black Mamba and Taron are only truly amazing when you're in the front row. Black Mamba was really boring the second time I went on it while sitting in the middle. Same for Taron to be honest.Really didn't do too much for me until I experienced it front row.
Taron front row is easily the best seat. I wish we did Mamba front also, but the queue was crazy!
I'm not sure if I agree on Mamba, I had a kinda painful experience in the front lol. But Taron in the front is godlike... Well any row is godlike honestly :')

Also ToTNH okay it's in the complete dark, okay it's boring but for a family coaster it does it's job extremely well and is still a well loved ride by the guests (even if it's not look like it) also the throughput on this is incredible!

Coaster bot comfirmed doesn't like forces on coasters
This isn't true at all, I love force on coasters, but I also love variety. The seating style and constant positive high forces don't really do much for me. Give me a coaster like Kärnan with high forces, great airtime, snappy transitions and a massive sense of speed and I love it! :)
