Facts bro. That video is iconic to me as a lover of all things hip-hop late 80's
@@papa_sincere6610 That Marley Marl Remix goes DUMB!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
My favorite on Derelicts is “Problem Child” & “Triple Stage Darkness” off The Cactus 🌵
@@jeffreyjoubert4849 Not and the remix....THE Marley Marl remix
Search is buggin saying he would’ve served Hammer in a dance battle though 😂
Serch…not at all. He would have served Hammer.
What! I haven't got there yet smh, Hammer & Vanilla Ice could serve Chris brown they were so beast mode, Bobby brown also, Chris brown is a legit beast-nuff said
Search could dance though. Think the vids didn't give him justice. But Hammer?.... Mind you, Bboying came from nyc. But True boogaloo came from Oakland 1967. Hammer grew up with the original boogaloos. Shout out to The Black resurgents/Mechanical Devices....But Search was a dope ass dancer n may have given Hammer a run for his $$.
Serch looks like wet paste
@@edwardjohnson7783 Serch is a bad boy on the floor no doubt-for an everyday man in the everyday man world, but Hammer & Vanilla Ice were MJ elite level beasts then Bobby brown was capable of being that also in flashes, Serch is a proper dancer though 100% don't get me wrong
Yoooooo!!! I literally just saw this and had to double take! Hell yea!!!
This is only the 3rd Drink Champs I seen from start to finish. 3rd Bass means a lot to me musically and love that they're back.
These brothers are a huge part of hip-hop history. They're knowledge and experiences span decades. And they kept it real the whole time. Return of The Product!!! 🌵 🌵 🌵
Hey Serch! 7 notas 7 colores was a group from Spain! As a spaniard I'm very proud to heard these words from a legend like you! Salute, OG!
7 notas y 7 colores hasta tenía tema con Company Flow. El Mu sabia como moverse en la escena de N.Y. Pero increíble que hasta Serch sepa de ellos
I was about to go to work, I turned around to watch this.
LMAOOOOO 😂😂😂
I'm watching at work 😆 🤣

That album was dope. I was living in Oakland when it dropped. Nobody cared that they were white. Looking forward to this episode.
That album???? FOH 👉🏾
They were a dope duo. @@pandroidigital
“I’m one of them..”
3rd Bass were intrinsic to the movement at that time, irrelevant of skin tone. The Cactus (still) stands strong.
A great interview from start to finish with a great insight to the foundation of the culture.
Loved the section about DOOM and his rise.
Salute x
Can’t believe it took almost 3hrs before any mention of KMD/DOOM. Glad it happened tho. Dope episode!
and then some bum says "I gotta pee" right after they clap for him. So disrespectful.
Facts ! Bro the drinking question game took wayyyy too long…
This dope to see Pete and search
Nori is lacking on the group Applause,🤔 on all the facts and Great accomplishments 3RD BASS delivered throughout rap history. Why?
@ damn nore lacked on the history

Great show it was great to see them together again. There's a special place in my heart for 3rd bass a lot of great stories that reminds of my younger self. Thank you all
Dudes got stories for days, tremendous episode
Product of the Environment hit hard AF
This is legendary. Thought Pete would never do anything with Serch! Dope
I’m 53-Black and from Bhm Alabama- this is one of the dopest DC
MAN!!! This was such a great pod with a couple legends!!!
Search is such a deep hip hop head and story teller!!! You can see the passion in his eyes.... As a DJ I've always kept them in my mind when thinking about 90s hip hop in general. They were one of many shifting gears to the next era .....Boombap 🙌
Serch said a Verzuz battle against EPMD! 😂
Someone needs to check if Serch is on a suicide hotline. No fucking way they win against EPMD! Not even close!
Lol. Epmd got way to many joints.
It still would be dope and it makes sense. I can't see either group going against anyone else.
@ EPMD is one of the greatest duos in Hip-Hop history. 3rd Bass isn’t even close IMO. I can see 3rd Bass vs. House of Pain maybe? EPMD is pretty much in a class of their own. Not sure who I would put them up against.
3rd bass versuz Crucial Conflict
@@Ninostyle81hell nah 😂! Different styles your just saying anything
The absolute importance of this work that EFN & N.O.R.E. and how much history is being preserved for posterity is crazy! Learning more about DOOM’s story is incredible and makes me realize someone needs to do an MF DOOM biopic, but animate it like Spiderverse! Shit would be 🔥
SALUTE TO YOU FOR USING ALL CAPS WHEN YOU SPELL THE MANS NAME ...............
Word!! Top comment.
EXACTLY THAT! I Been thinking of how a DOOM BIOPIC would be executed! It would def need to be non-conventional.
MF DOOM biopic in the anime style from Kill Bill Vol 1 would be sick as hell. 🔥 🔥 🔥

You guys were brought together for a reason. Success is like lightning in a bottle. It only comes around once in a lifetime so all the trivial beef needs to be squashed cause real wrap has to endure. Glad you’re back together.
That gas face song was fire
Two Legends right there! this makes me happy!
Serch was NICE with the dance moves back then. He could battle anybody, but i like his confidence that he could battle Hammer back then
Lol. I don't wanna see NOBODY reading my shit. But.. that's silly af. My thoughts. Lol. Gj. That's funny... guys bop wit me more anyway... meaning... I got a good REpour widdemall

Im 53 and I remember having a 3rd base tape. I used to listen to all hip hop white or black. Ps. Beat street all day! It hurt when Ramone got electrocuted on the train rails
Let me here you say RAMONE.......R A M O N E ......RAHHHHHHHHHH
Same.
I'm 50, I remember anyone at my school who listened to rap would walk around giving people they didn't like the gas face. I'm pretty sure I gave a couple of my teachers the Gas Face lol.
This was in So Cal.
Greatest Hip Hop movie ever, has all the elements
I love the fact that Pete and Serch acknowledged that Rakim is the greatest MC of all time!
I could listen to Serch all day. Great stories. Love that him and Pete are connected again. 🙏🏼
Nore's lack of knowledge especially when it comes to guests is astonishing. From Rich Nice to Daddy Rich to even that silly Mike Jones call-out. It's like the dude was in a coma his entire career.
😂😂😂😂😂
He plays dumb to get the guest to open up
Him and EFN’S lack of foundational hip hop knowledge is pitiful! So many missed opportunities for great stories to be expanded on!
Bro a lil slow, he said himself he was one of them special kids 😂🤣😂
Nore "rapped" but he's not a "Hip-Hop head". There is a difference.
3rd Bass reunion. LET'S GO!
How about Necro and Non Phixion, DJ EFN? We want to hear their side of the story, not these people who ain't had a record out since the mid 90s..I know Nore don't know who they are😆 so it's on you to make it right.
I love the back stories u get from these interviews they all connect
Pete cool as always. Needs his own podcast.
Necro got another story
3rd Bass was the first group to diss Lyor Cohen in the Gas Face, Serch really saw the future 🔮
3rd Bass Salute 🫡. “I’m one of them”
Been waiting for this one for months and it did not disappoint. Prob the best interview I've seen on DC. Those 3+ hours flew by as I took a ride back in time as a sophomore in HS, thumping Wordz of Wisdom in my first car. That being said, I love Serch to death but man does he like to take over a conversation. It's almost like he becomes disinterested if he's not in control of the topic at hand. Props to Pete though. He finally began to assert himself and not let Serch interrupt so much once the booze loosened him up a little. Like everyone else here, really hoping the reunion lasts.
I’m glad to see them getting back together and giving the fans what they deserve 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
This is a beautiful thing! Great to see the brothers back together again! Salute Drink Champs.
3rd bass 🦾🦾🦾. Pop goes the weasel !!! So happy there back together.
Get necro on here already
Honestly this was a really good episode👏
Great interview. These guys have a lot of stories. You can also sense the sadness over how many friends they've lost over the years.
If I did a shot every time Serch says “Queens get the money” or “from my perspective” and “That’s what she said”, I would be in an alcoholic coma.
You know what's crazy for me, when I see these guys, I see myself, and when I see myself, it's official...I'm getting old!
I hear you man. I'm looking at Pete and he gotta bit of gray in his beard and I'm just about to hit 56 and I'm the same. I often think that maybe if I'm lucky I've got another 20 years.
Pete On Drink Champs 🫡. Pete Was Like A White Big Daddy Kane As Far As Image Goes 😎

One of your best episodes EVER! Taking folks to school on Hip Hop History. Much respect to 3rd Bass. Glad to see them together again.
Pete Nice is the coolest, most down to Earth dudes in the history of hip-hop and I ain’t talking about race or whatever. He is smart, and you weren’t there, but he sure was. Respect to Prime Minister Pete Nice. Dude has the history and the receipts to prove it. Remember yall, hip hop is a unique culture because ultimately is about being down. We live hip hop. This real shit ain’t a vehicle for fashion or socials, we do this shit for the love and we can’t stop, won’t stop! Iykyk
Necro. Non phixion! Ill Bill 1000x iller than serch could ever imagine or hope to be!!

"....conversated; till I made her laugh,

Really, EFN is the interviewer and Nore is more like the comic relief. Worse one in my opinion was the Beatnuts interview. Nore got tipsy early and instead of letting them tell their story he kept asking about PUN. Now I love Pun and think he would’ve been one of the best ever if he had more time but we never got to hear the Beatnuts story and they were a huge inspiration to my rhyme and beat style. I demand another interview of the Beatnuts!!!😂
This was a very important moment, especially the points Nore was making towards the end ... if you really love this culture there's no better way to celebrate it than to get healthy, give thanks and acknowledge those who contributed to your formative experiences within this context, and then fucking let the world know how your truth continues to align with the essence of this culture TO. THIS. DAY.
As Good as ADVERTISED! Pete! Serch! Rich! Great Episode!👊🏿
