I feel like I’ve taken crazy pills: Crawmerax is just Dexi but thicker and with adds. You’re just shooting spots. I dunno Edit: if we’re adding EoS why not Hag of Fervor, Captain Haunt and Joey UV? Valks I’m not even sure belong on here
Everything else i mentioned regarding craw. The gear checks, the attacks, the spots are there, you are not waiting minutes on end for them to spawn. Check description for hag of fervor, same applies for joey, Haunt is a better fight, still wouldn't.
Didn't find any of the True Trial bosses engaging as they just became bullet sponges for me. Captain Haunt was interesting as it had you do something in order to defeat him rather than just shooting.
@@LazyDatafair, but Dexi is just a large Stalker. Terra is just a huge thresher. Really the only thing separating True Trials and Terra is an arena, paying Eridium and having “Invincible” in their name. Definitely not fun engaging mechanics on them, for sure. But what’s the mechanics of Terra? Regardless, great video dude
Valks are a Boss section, part of a raid. They are Raid Bosses. Actually we've been naming all of them Raid Bosses while Valks, Wotan, Anathema and Scourge only should be named this way.
I love BL1 Crawmerax fight. I like that her adds are just as dangerous and you need a different element for each of them, it brought a cool uniqueness into the fight. It is my favourite raid boss fight in the series. But, also, objectively, i do agree that Wotan is the best designed fight in the series. My top 5 fights would be: Craw, Wotan, Scourge, Anathema and Gloop. Also, i would have put Terra in D tier, i absolutely hate that fight.
I really love the Setenal boss fight, almost all of his attacks are dodgeable and it’s a really well designed human bosses Also nice tier list, you should do enemies tier list
Oddly Gee has quite the fan base. It's because it tries to do some interesting stuff mechanics wise. Just that big first shield and limited moveset really drag it down.
@@LazyData That's fair. And I have to give points for trying different things. I just think the end result was too frustrating/long to be fun. The dragons, however, are just fun to fight in my opinion. I've killed them on a few characters, but especially on Zer0, and I really enjoyed the kills. You're right that they can be glitchy, but I really like that there's strategy to how you pull them down and in what order, and how each one requires a slightly different approach. I think they'd be a lot better if gearbox just fixed the no-status-effect issue that triggers when you hit them with status and then they land.
I think it'd be really cool if you made raid boss guides for the BL2 raid bosses like how you did for wonderlands! Just explaining mechanics and how to deal with them and gear recommendations. I really liked the style of ur wonderlands guides so I think that'd be cool!
I've thought about it but The further back you go the less hard counters and stuff works. The fights were just simpler in BL2 but also far more character specific. Maybe a tips type video with general help could work though
@@LazyData I'd certainly be interested in watching that. BL2 endgame has always seemed interesting but just that it feels like there's a lack of modern resources to help get there and to know what to do once you do. Maybe I'm wrong and looking in the wrong places though, if you know of modern guiding resources for bl2 endgame/build crafting I'd love to look at them.
Simply don't understand why they don't fix Vorac's health - surely it would only take a few mins? Same with so many other "known for years" B2 bugs - just finish making a game before you leave it to move onto the next one!
The bug was implemented 7 years after launch right before a major release. To then immediately create a new patch to fix it, have go through GBX QA, then 2K QA, and all the hoops that is console patch rollout. Wasn't Worth it with BL3 releasing just months later. It'll be in their "To fix list". The problem is that list will be astronomical, and not profitable to sort out. I'm sure the devs would love to work through and fix everything they can, it's just too unfeasable. Which is a massive shame.
@@LazyData Yes, but for a game that continues to be as successful as BL2, it doesn't seem unreasonable for us to hope/expect them to permanently assign perhaps just one person to "ongoing maintenance of existing games".
Wasn't built to be a raid boss, and hes a very simple fight. Would be lowly rated out of basicness, prolly"*needs improvement or borderline good". I like Joey alot, but I'd expect more from a raid boss tier encounter.
kinda shocked where dragons and hyperius ended up. Dragons - the issues you mentioned, not landing, landing in the floor, etc arent super common in my experience. sure it might not have been amazing, but the fight had lots of unique mechanics that encouraged players to make decisions on what they wanted to have land next (gee's moveset couldnt dream of being as engaging). I think they could fit well into the needs improvement tier for the rationale given hyperius - undodgeable novas and bullet reflection are just bad mechanics. the novas punish a player who is otherwise doing everything perfectly (as its unreasonable to go hide behind the pipe every time the novas happen) and punishing players for doing well is objectively bad game design. then the bullet reflection is just unnecessarily punishing and also allows the fight to be cheesed.
Its not the presence of a cheese spot, as most bosses have one. It's how much the bosses pushes you to use it. Not once have i ever felt compelled to use craws ledge, i forgot it existed. Terra's high knockback and bee stopping ground shake just push you towards pride rock.
