This is set in Season 5 after they defeated Vecna. (Will got the eye scar because of Vecna, Mike has it due to the final battle.) The Byers are temporarily moving back to California so the kids can finish school there, and they plan to patch up their California home and sell it. Will confessed his feelings earlier on in the storm of the chaos, Mike reciprocate his feelings but they didn't really get the chance to talk about it due to the whole world kinda of ending LMAO
